How to use Cromwell 1 effectively?
Hello guys, i have played British tank for 2 weeks. They have some advantages but the solid shell is killing me. Now i'm playing Cromwell 1 while waiting for Sherman firefly.

This tank suck, speed is good but the lack of armor which makes me feel irritated. What is gun depression used for when enemy tank like PzIV F and PzIII M, T34s, Kv-1can pen the turret easily with one shot while i have to waste more than 3 shots to kill a tank?

I try to flank, shoot at turret of T-34, it keeps running to cover. Shoot at engine or driver, it will one shoot me through the flat part....
Somehow i think Brit is more struggle than even America tank.

I always found the one thing US has going for them is speed. Thus far all the British tanks I use lack speed. Even though they have a bit of extra armor, it never feels enough for how weak the guns feel. I dunno though, barely at BR 3.3 with them. I recently discovered the M18, so I'm kinda hooked on that.

Step 1: Go fast
Step 2: Pen everything
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Profit

Use that amazing speed and size. Get into a nice covered area on the sides and wait for targets to come. If you stay hidden, you can easily pop out and use that 57mm MG cannon and wipe the crew easily. Take out the gunner and/or breech first, then the driver and/or hull radio operator, and finish off 1 or 2 more in the turret.

Think of it like a low BR British Hellcat. No good armor, fast as hell, and a good, fast firing gun. Just make sure you don't put it in reverse. You will go about -3km/h in reverse. If you need to get away, turn. You will turn far faster and use the forward speed to get away if you can.

If u got speed, get cap and back up and snipe. Patience, especially if it is a map you have the least amount of experience on. Also, you could try hanging with a higher BR squad that is getting loads of kills. Select statistics, bottom left of your screem (tab) and find them after the first cap has ended and you start seeing kills. Find them on the map, get to them, see what they are doing, especially if they have the same tank. Air battles, if you play them, you can do the same thing. gl

honestly at that tier the worst tank are the Panzer III's they have ♥♥♥♥ for armor tiny pop guns that bounce off shermans, T-34's, Kv's,and cromwells and matildas. They arent fast have a slow ass turret and usually die in 1 shot from anything that hits them

I dunno, I put in soo much work with my Panzer III.... J something. The first one that stops having the slow turret turn rate. Its got a lower profile and the gun is fine if you know how to angle/aim. Just takes that kind of planning/perspective. Not as good as the P IVF2, and such but still, not bad either.
