M26 Perhing. How to play???
Hello. Im playing with my m26. I reaserched half of modules. Its terrible to play. My worst enemy is of course Tiger II H spam. Im trying play as a med, but this ♥♥♥♥ is really slow. Playing both AB and RB. Hard to run from bombs, hard to turn. Sometimes is fun to play, but most of time ise annoying. Any advices from american gf players?

At-least I'm not the only one who thinks the M26 is sluggish as all hell. I was eating the dust of an ISU-122... urgh. I do not understand why the Pershing is so slow, it makes no sense to me. The Tiger II has more mobility I swear.

The best way to use this tank I've found is to be extremely patient. Sit and wait for the enemy to turn their turret or hull away from you and then pop out, shoot them in the side, and dart back into cover. You'll need APCR to penetrate the turret front of Tiger IIs, and even Tiger 1s at range.

Yea, but sometimes is too late for APCR. On RB I drive faster backwards then forward. Pershing have good gun (after playing with shermans 76 feel gorgeous). It's to slow for a medium, to thick armor for heavy.

The tank overall is just bad. It's too slow, the armour is too thin for 6.7 BR games and the gun is vastly underwhelming to how it should be in real life (I've shot Tigers in the side and only killed one crew member with the M82 shot...). The only thing nice about the tank is the way it looks and its reverse speed.

The M26 Pershing is of course, an upgrade from the Sherman that were still in use. The engine itself was the main problem for the tank, utilizing the same engine type the Shermans used while adding on the extra weight from the 90mm and the armor.

An upgraded engine for the M26 was implemented and the M26 thus became the M46.

You should side scrape as much as possible, that way you can have a high chance of having no damage to you most of the time by ricocheting

Carry M82 and M304 shells and always try to flank, you have greater speed than Tiger 2s,flank them.
This tank is greater than before, you have 6.3 BR (which it used to be 6.7)

The tank was classified as a heavy tank in real life, hence why it is slow. Just compared to the tigers, it is lighter but also has lot less horsepower. Some reason gaijin classifies it as a medium (I assume because panthers are heavier, lol)...but ironically still only gives it one spawn in SB like heavy tanks.

heavy tank during WW2, MBT afterwards

Honestly, American tanks are embarrassingly bad at 5.7-6.7 (excluding the T29 doom tank). The only thing American tanks can do is to camp and wait for a tank to expose the side. Even the super perishing (pun intended) is bad. I reckon that since the American tanks are just a nuisance and not a threat, they need to be the biggest nuisance in the battlefield, thus the need for the m26 t99. Wait for a tiger to shoot at someone, then destroy their cannon and tracks with the rockets. APCR has enough pen to deal with disabled tanks.

APCBC rounds have normalization modelled in the game, and now after 1.63, larger rounds get a higher chance at not bouncing thin armour.

We shall see xP
Well you drive forward and move your mouse to aim. If you click one of the mouse buttons it can shoot too
