It detects my controller and my joystick simultaneously so it shouldn't be a problem. I may need to get the extra stick off my mate and try this out.
so you could use those, but that isnt more realistic, as even tanks that only had brake steering also had clutch control to each track
and then youve got the tanks with regenerative steering (which isnt modelled, but it was a pretty big thing)
compared to clutch/brake steering in which you have to completely cut or even remove power from one track, which makes turning at high speeds or on inclines very hard.
basically any tank capable of neutral steering in game, IRL could regeneratively steer

However, you'll probably have a hard time aiming, and you won't be able to drive halftracks, armored cars, and anything else you can't steer by braking.
Ok, if this guy can get joysticks to work like he wants, somebody needs to find a way to get a set of pedals and a clutch to work with it!
