Is the Ki-100 any good?

I read it was great, really great then it was nerfed and the battle rating raised and now its terrible. But some maybe don't know or still think its great I don't know. What do you think should I research it next or go for the A6 planes thanks.

It only had a .7 BR increase (making it a 3.7). It could compete with 4.7 aircraft quite favourably, so all those people saying it's "terrible" don't have a clue.

A6Ms are more fun in my opinion, but the Ki-100 isn't a bad aircraft.

Get the Ki-100 it is fun. I mostly main in the A6 series but Japan's BnZ fighters are growing on me.

Hmm ok thanks I think I'll go for the A6 next then maybe the ki100.
I got the ki61 and wish I hadn't its br 3.0 turns at 22 and climbs at 8 its aweful.
I think I'll go back to the ki44 to grind the A6 planes. The 44 seemed ok but I can't wait til I get something with good guns.

The Ki-61 is a boom 'n' zoomer. Stick it in a sideclimb and get above everyone and then rain hell with your sushi launchers. It's a bit like the MC.202 really.

The ricer launchers are the 7.7s, the 12.7s fire sushi. Use air targets or tracers, they work.

Yeah, I disagree. Even at 2.0 these guns weren't great but by 3.0 planes all have armor and these guns go from not good to terrible.

I can use them, they just take far more time on target than other rounds. Then again I always play the MC.202.

Ki-61 is the born-in-japan half-italian, half-german child of the MC202 and the BF109. Fly it like you fly them.

Also the 12.7mm guns on the Ki-61 are actually quite good, once you learn to accomodate their low-ish muzzle velocity.

Even in the 2.0 plane that has them I found them worse than the 7mms.
Of course its all relative the 7mms are shooting at very weaker planes!

At 2.3 I found the 12mm on the ki44 weaker vs its enemies than the 7mms, and found it took at least 2-3 really good hits to take an enemy down with no exceptions (no solid one hit kills) but there were usable with patience.

The same guns at 3.0 omg there are planes that simply can't be shot down! The P-61, P-47, La5, A20, and any bomber will take a thousand rounds and nothing. And everything you face at 3.0 has cannon! Lots of Spitfires, 109s. I guess everyone has their opinion but for me these are the worst guns in game so far.

Also no joke a few rounds ago I got 13 hits and no kill with the 12mm no exaggeration it was in the stats. Worst game ever.

For starters, don't base all your opinions off the stat cards. They don't tell the full story.

The Ki-100 climbs well, has good acceleration and a good speed. Throw that thing in a dive and even P-47s will struggle to get away from you. It's also got Ho-5s, which are arguably the best 20mm cannons the Japanese have. My issue with the Ki-100 though was having my aim thrown off by the 50cals in the wings (I'm not used to having nose mounted cannons and wing mounted MGs, for most fighters it's the other way around), so take stealth on the MGs and Universal on the Ho-5s.

So you're saying a plane with 532 speed outruns a plane with 730 speed.
In other words gaijin are just liars. I mean its not like that isn't an obviously false statement if what you're saying is true.

I didn't say that. I said the Ki-100 could keep up with the P-47 in a dive, the D models at-least. At altitude the P-47 will easily outrun the Ki-100 still.
