Torpedo Bombers

I'd like to hear from anyone what you think the best torpedo bombers are for every nation and why.

I am aware that the B7 is an exceptionally good one not only among Japanese planes, but pretty much every other nation.

Trying in this case to find one for the British. I thought of trying the Beaufighter MK 1, but went against it in the end because upgrading it takes too long and it didn't seem worth it for its BR.

Now flying the Swordfish which is quite fun and quick to upgrade, but goes up against the likes of Tempest which absolutely shred it.

Well about the british ones , i would sugest you trying the wellis ! They are kinda fun to play in rb in a squad , but the best torpedo bomber ,at least for me is the sb2c (doesnt matter wich variant ) If you are looking forward for a squad you can add me on steam ! Cheers and good luck

I'll add you, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to squad up, as I can barely even get solo sessions in because of constant interruptions and this week being rather busy, haha.

The H8K2/3 with torpedoes are good fun. You've got two massive torps that'll one hit kill all the cruisers and destroyers, and a whole bunch of defensive 20mm cannons. The H8K2 has 3x 20mms all in the tail and the H8K3 has 5x 20mm cannons. The only problem is, it's a float, so you have to slam it into the runway to rearm (which counts as death).

Sorry, your phrasing confuses me a little. :-P How can nothing beat it if it overheats so quickly with a torp?

And another question, how does the first Wellington compare to the last version? Are they really that much different regarding the 2.7BR and 3.3BR's?

Because the heat creates a wormhole.

American Carriers are a nightmare to take down with torpedoes, I'm not sure how many it takes but it's definitely more than two. You get tonnes of points for destroying the heavy cruisers anyway, so just go for them (I can make about 4-5000 points in the battle just from torping ships). The H8K would be great for grinding the Japanese lower tiers, but unfortunately I've got every Japanese plane so I make like no RP on it, lol.

Would think so, especially since they are so heavily guarded. But as I'm flying the British almost exclusively, I'll probably go up against Japanese carriers in RB with the Swordfish, Wellingtons, Lancasters, etc. The reason I asked is because I am actually doing achivement hunting for the game as well, thought it will probably take ages.

Hah, lucky you. In that case, I must ask, is the J7 really as bad as people say?

It was broken for a while but they fixed it a few patches back. I haven't really flown it myself (only 2 or 3 games), but it flies nicely and the guns are great. I can tell that when spaded it'll be a good aircraft, and I see loads of people flying and doing well with it.

Thought so, as not too long ago, it just warranted complaints, and now it's a common choice in both AB and RB. And from the video I've seen of TheOrangeDoom using it, those cannon rounds are on par with those of German aircraft in terms of firepower.
