Jagdpanzer 38(t) or Jagdpanzer IV/48

There is not too much left for Jagdpanzer but which one is better? Hetzer looks like have more armour but it trades to crew compartment and and similar thinner rear armor.

People like the Hetzer more since its upper hull has high chances to bounce, but I like the Jagdpanzer IV better since it plays like a much better Stug; I have bad luck with the Hetzer despite its bouncy hull even at medium to longer distances

Yeah pretty much,but i kill easily when i encounter hetzer because of lower glacis :D I cant pen easily jagdpanzer,only at blank range.

Yup! I feel like the Hetzer doesn't work for me since I find it to be too easy to expose that lower glacis

I'm grinding pz iv/70 though,lets hope its better than its older brothers :D

The hetzer has more frontal armor, but virtually no armor everywhere else. A .50 cal can pen it from the side.

That being said, the hetzer is faster and smaller. It's a light TD.

It's pretty great, it has the gun of the Panthers without the crappy reverse speed and hull maneuverability

The Hetzer has a major flaw and that is its size. Most guns it faces can not pen its 60mm armor at 60 degrees, but due to its low profile, they will be pointing down on it on level ground, taking away some of that effective slope. The Jagdpanzer IV, in my view, is a better option for a 4.7 German TD. I often find it provided more protection compared to the Hetzer.

Though if anything gets on its sides, it is easily ammo racked. If you take 30 rounds though, it will empty your entire left side (if you were to view it from the rear, gun at 12 o'clock). Though you can take 40 and all of its 4 large side racks will be empty, but the 2 larger ones on the other side and the smaller ready racks will be full.

Lower glacis is major weak point of the hetzer, otherwise its pretty strong fromthe frontal sloped armor.

If you're pointing your barrel down on a tank, you're waaaaay too close.
