Tips for using a tank destroyer?

So I'm rather new to this game still, and I recently got the Panzerjager, but the problem is that the enemy always sees me if I get within range of them, and they kill me in 1-3 hits. Is there a strategy to not let them see you? Everytime I try to flank around I've ran into other enemy tanks. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :D

what gamemode you playing? I have no trouble in the panzerjager 1 in arcade battles. The enemy vastly underestimates that little guy. As for tips, well if you are in arcade try and shoot enemies in the sides, at low tiers your opponents will be doing very stereotypical things such as charging headfirst into the center checkpoint of the map. You will have to change your tactics the higher up the food chain you go with the SPG classes as they are vastly diffrent.

I'm playing arcade like you, I just seem to walk into the areas where half the enemy team is and none of my team is. Maybe I just have bad luck? Like recently an LVT was in front of my team, there was about 4 of us, and out of all of us he chose to go for me in the back. I just thought that maybe people target tank destroyers on purpose.

Well the Panzerjäger is a ve\ry open tank, all the enemy has to do is go around your bakc and machine gun your guys and your dead, and for them to not see you you'd probably have to go realistic cause well just about anywhere you are in arcade theres a giant name tag above you.

alright, don't go in from the front, hit them from the sides by flanking, at tier one the enemy is very predictable and won't be expecting you.
