What do you mean? If it gets shot out?

Or turning it off and then back on again? Jets have a moderate length spoolup time, you'll have to wait a bit (5-10 seconds).

also it helps if you set the throttle to lower than 10% if youre on a first gen jet to help with the spool time.

though ive not had occasion to try it ingame some aircraft simply dont have enough onboard power to spin up their own engines and require an external power source to start on the ground

i dont think batteries are a thing for aircraft the way they are for tanks

it is from my experience in both jets and turboprops that in the case of the engine cutting off during flight in warthunder, the aircraft needs a certain amount of airflow (airspeed) to start the engine again, so if you're going 300km/h in a jet it may decide not to turn on (Not saying it turn on, just maybe).
