Offhand I don't recall all of then, but you can go to the modification screen of any tank armed with those machine guns (for example, llok at the M4A1 in the US tree) and it will show the MGs, the belts they are loaded with, and the max pen of their best round.

All SPAAs and vehicles like the M2A2 let you change the ammo loadout of your main guns, in this case the machine guns, and you'll see different round types and pen values.

Also for aircraft, you'll still see pen values for different belts in the modification menu when selecting ammunition.

Like on average, 7-8mm ~10-15mm of penetration, 12.7s ~20-28mm, Russian 14.5mm is in the 40s and are more of a pygmy autocannon.

7.7 can only pen extremely thin armor (like the Zis-30 on very close range) and kill crew. If you are patient you can make a barrel yellow but... heh good luck
12.7 are effective against most light vehicules, and can pen some rear armor
14.5 is stupidly good. As effective as a 12.7 to shred light tanks, it can pen sides and very weak spots of a good number of tanks. I think the KPVT most russian tanks have can pen like 30mm at 500m

Meanwhile Chieftain's 12.7mm gun get's only 7mm of penetration at 10 metres. Because it's only got IAI(Immediate Action Incendiary)'s in it. That's 3mm penetration less than what the 7.62mm on top has.
