How to remove/ uninstall "HD texture packs"?
New player here, I installed the HD texture packs without realizing how much space they will take up.

How do I remove them?

Did you install them via Steam or the War Thunder client?

Start launcher.exe,
There is a drop-down box in the lower right,
Select "Full client" there.
HD textures will be deleted then.

If you're launching from Steam:

Launch War Thunder
When the box pops up choose THE SECOND OPTION "AUTOMATIC UPDATER" OR SOMETHING

Then do what Lunovos said:
