A-7D vs A-7E

What is the biggest difference between them and which one should I be using? Looking at the engines in the x-ray in the hangar on both the A-7D and A-7E shows the A-7D has a more powerful engine, though this could be a bug, not sure if they're pretty much the same performance wise. The D also gets the Aim-9J with the E having the Aim-9G, which from my personal experience the J seems to track better. The D also gets Mavericks while the E gets Walleye's, and I prefer the ability of the Maverick's over the Walleye. But in case theres something im missing on them both, is there any advice on which one I should be using?

The primary advantage of the A-7E is its Thermal optics, which the A-7D doesn't have access. It basically lets you watch the entire battlefield and throw Walleyes wherever you want unlike the AGM-65As, which require light to be present in order to "see" targets.
