F104A vs F104C (America tree)

Which aircraft out of these two is superior for Air RB? They seem pretty much identical, though the C has the extra bomb loads and the probe thingy (that will affect performance though right?) whilst the F104a appears to have more engine thrust (6300kgf on the A vs 6270kgf on the C) and is also presumably lighter. Would i be correct in thinking the original F104A is actually superior to the C?

I don't know which is better, but you should keep in mind that the C has 6% higher RP but 40% LOWER SL multipliers than the A, and the C has a 2,230 SL higher repair cost

also note that the A does not have a Radar Warning Receiver according to x-ray mode, while the C does

Ah yeah forgot about multipliers but i was mosting thinking in terms of pure performance since i'm just having fun and not grinding with them. Good point on the RWR, the A indeed doesn't get one whilst the C does, i forgot to check as i didn't think either of them got one. Now that i think of it, it's probably that bigass probe on the front of the C i mentioned. Anyways I'm not sure if that's a positive or a negative tbh, as while the rwr can be handy not being able to turn it off can be annoying.

The air refueling probe you mean? Anyway The F-104C is probably the best bet for the US Starfighters I’ll guess since RWR can be the difference between not acknowledging a radar missile and dying or seeing you’re locked and dumping countermeasures/maneuvering.

The F-104C doesn't have countermeasures.

I'm pretty sure it's better than the A, though. Maybe a little heavier?

I thought the A was lighter and had a weaker engine compared to the C, but in fact it appears to be both lighter and has a better engine, unless the stats for the f104a are incorrect.
