Admittedly, I have the AMX-30 and I have killed over 500 vehicles and 12 aircraft with it while losing 300.
It is useful in assisting one form a line up at BR 7.7 for France. I also use it to earn SL.
If you are the sort that press W and go forward to brawl at full speed, it is not for you.

Okay honestly its just an ugly Type 74 with an awful heat round. Not only that but even if we look at the same tree the AMX 30 is worse than its free tech tree variant which has a coax 20mm while the premium gets a 50 cal, granted the coax has nearly the same pen as and less post pen damage than a 50cal but I think thats more of a bug than an intentional thing. Overall the AMX's are pretty bad, I would personally take one over the leopard 1's but even then I'd still hate driving it, there are a few gems in the tech tree but honestly you should have bought the Somua instead and ground out the tech tree AMX-30.
Seriously?
I thought that the Type 74 look sleek as well. I love the design, that is why I played the ST-B1, Type 74C, D, E too!
And I also played the AMX-30 (1972), AMX-30B2, AMX-30 BRENUS. I will probably get the Super AMX-30 in the sale but not the Type 74G however.
