Are crew voice mods from the official site safe?

Hello. I'm tired of hearing the same repetitive soulless crew voices and I found some nice mods from the mod forum. However i've read that players have got permanently banned for using sound mods (don't know exactly which ones). The mod changes the client, and is it safe to download this without the risk of getting banned?

You can use Sound Mods.

Just need to be mindful that some mods may not work until they're updated for the latest version of the game. The one you linked shows it was last updated for Winds of Change (the last update) so there may be issues running it.

Yeah you'll obviously be fine as long as you never play in an official tournament.
