Bloody hell, and I thought "modding is cheating" is an absurd argument, now we have "using in-game features is cheating".

It's one thing to play with a low end PC (unless that thing is 10+ years old and people expect to play modern games on high quality), another thing is when people have absolute high end rigs and cheese every graphic setting to low and derender map objects so they can see through them.

What's more bloody hell is that people take arguments out of context and make themselves look like idiots.
Still doesn't mean it's cheating

Give me an official definition of cheating that includes "using tools provided by the game to gain an advantage", then maybe you'll have any argument to begin with.

I hate how you instantly jump to conclusions thinking that he's doing this to "cheat".

I see enough people jerking around how good their PC is and in the game they turn the graphics to the lowest possible setting to get out even the tiniest advantage above other people.
In other words: They're cheating, nothing more, nothing less.

It doesn't even matter if everyone else can do this, if they don’t run a Windows 98 potato and try to play the game. People should be honest and honourable enough to themselves to play with the graphic settings that their PC can handle.

But this is already too much to ask. Those tryhards catch every advantage they can get, without using actual cheats, to cheese through the game. And then even dare to have the balls and call themselves being good in the game.

About "being honest and honourable" : it would be nice to not hide your potential unskilled talents behind graphical settings.
Someone who sucks at this game will suck whatever graphic settings are involved.
It's like crying because 'gna gna it's my keyboard's fault, my mouse fault, my dog eat my homework for school', etc.
Finding excuses is so common & easier than trying to become really a more efficient player.

BTW, I personnally use max setttings because I just enjoy to play a beautiful game.
And if in front of me there a player that really needs to earn just a little "advantage" by having some less graphical quality, well, good for him if it is his only way of getting better.

Now, your definition of cheating : "to get out even the tiniest advantage above other people.
In other words: They're cheating, nothing more, nothing less. "

So, if ingame I begin to camp & kill your teammates? I have a good position & taking advantage of it, so I am cheating?
If ingame I respawn as a CAS plane & bomb you because you don't want to play SPAAs (because it is boring, because it is gay (yes yes, one day I also read that one, hu hu hu )or whatever false excuses), do I am cheating aswell ?
Or you are respawning in a SPAA unit & you take advantage on me in my poor plane, are you cheating ?
Holding maps key points & so controling the map, is it cheating?

One advise : stop hiding yourself behind BS things & try to gain in maturity.
Then, and only then, you will begin to really get better.
Not only ingame, but certainly IRL aswell.

Jeez you people playing on a setting that's biult into the game isn't cheating by that logic I guess playing at a fps higher than 30fps is a cheat because having high fps is most certainly a advantage.

So I guess we should force all players to play at the same fps and graphic settings but then what about screen and resolution size because you have a big advantage playing on a 50inch 4kTV compared to a 12inch 1080p monitor

So I guess we have to force everyone to play on the lowest graphic settings at 30fps on a 12inch 1080p monitor to make things fair right guess what not going to happen some things aren't fair so if someone wants to get every advantage they can that is at there disposal that's biult into the game that's there choice.

If you don't want that advantage that's all on you and your fault so except it or move on and play a more fair game because it's not cheating not one bit

It being an in-game option literally makes it not a cheat. By your logic people should use stock shells because better ones are "cheating" as well.

Then why people don’t play on high graphics if they spend already a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money for their PC?

I can answer this question for you: They want to grab every single advantage they can get and want to see more. Being an ingame option doesn't matter. Those people are cheating.
OK do you play at the highest settings in game have grass render distance maxed and also have grass in tank sights turned on if so your cheating

That's something else I haven't considered... Yeah. The heat wave's been especially brutal the last week or two.

I think in one of the patch notes Gaijin disabled the turn off shadows.

What? Why? Wasn't this a bug from Winds of Change update? Or is a bug a feature now?
Now that i think about it, it's been 3 months since Winds of Change, perhaps it is a feature now, even though it was acknowledged as a bug/glitch on the "Report a Issue" forum
