there is no conspiracy from the devs to make all your games terrible, but at the same time they are unconsciously setting up the conditions by having premiums for brand new players without a reserve status.
Most of your games will be filled with people who have a premium tank/jet and nothing else in their lineup. Whichever team has the most of these players generally lose. Take for example the screenshot, many TURMS players with nothing else in their lineup to continue the fight
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2829163754
or the BMD players with no other tanks in their lineup because they have nothing else
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2584998699
And yeah the Code has some bad happenings as example the IAM HERE iam NOT Shells...or Tanks which do get invensible. But its more Random and Rare then the normal game.
I don't think anyone explicitly asked for source code, that was the dev's inaccurate response. What I'm guessing you're referring to is my post, which included this:
Table 4 of this article (peer-review) has metrics for gaming companies that include "workshops on lack of rules and/or inconsistent rules, code of conduct, lack of knowledge or professionalization regarding social concerns, unclarity in league structures and games, lack of transparency, lack of support or guidance for casual to professional players, lack of development of skills based on limited player knowledge, monetization issues and revenue model sustainability, etc."
By providing enough details for your playerbase to understand the underlying mechanics your company utilizes, you bring more professionalism to the gaming industry and to the eSports sector of it. Until your company acknowledges these issues, it will not be taken seriously. This is the nature of the industry, and Gaijin has repeatedly ignored these trends.
(source: https://www.ijesports.org/article/94/html )
Essentially what I was getting at was that Gaijin is not a sustainably-operated business, and that they encrypt, deflect, gaslight, blame, etc. the playerbase when valid criticisms and arguments are brought to them. They have a long history of doing this, and I've seen it since air beta. Their business strategy is rooted in 20th century models, and they continue to stick their head in the sand to industry trends, showing favor to maximizing profit goals. This negatively impacts the social component (playerbase).
This is my kind of guy. Bravo CyberStonka. Tell it just how it is. Now nerf the damn ground a.i. AAA for Air RB. It sucks for Tier 3 and under. Leave the AF AAA uber. Chop chop.
If anything this is same as casino house always wins in the end, odds are stacked in their favor, and people show up thinking they will beat it, and then reach for any straws they can find to explain when they can't lol.
But regardless of the topic, it's rather unbecoming of a "Developer" to begin their counterpoint with heaps of sarcasm, demean/insult players, and then end with the ultimate trump card: "get gud". Frankly, this behavior is what I've come to expect from the WT community, that of a petulant child, but to see a dev, a representative a company, act like this really puts me off.
I think I'll be taking a break.
Dev So made this team game right, wether you win or lose is up to the players on each team.
Player one : I win all the time, but not as much as I like.
Player two: I lose all the time its not fair!
Most players: My win loss is around 50%
Player two again: this don't make any sense I should be wining like 2/3 of the time like that other guy who only plays in groups! Game is out to get me!
Part of most players: Hey yeah I only win 52.92% of hte time I want win 2/3 like some one else too!!
Me : if some one is winning 2/3 of time it means other team is lossing 2/3 of the time
Player two: Shut up who asked you! Were trying to use math here to find out why can't every one in the game win 70% of more of the time!
Me: Because then some one still has to lose 70% of the time...
Dev: Meh we prefer average user to win like 50% of the time
Player two: shut up I want to win 70% and so do these other people this game is rigged so I suck!
Me: or you just suck...
Dev: going you know its impossible for you to all to win 70% of the time its pvp some one still has to lose, we can't just give you all trophies for showing up.
Player two: What my whole life I got a trophy for doing the bare min and showing up!
And love how you all got these crooked as hell doctored numbers like some how every one can win 90% of the time but some how no one has to lose more then 10% in your fantasy world. And then act like this is basic math skills. Or you google like the best player in game, and go "look at this ones ratio! I want to be like him!" Its like he only plays in groups under exact conditions, and has half the matches you did, and paid for exp transfers to unlock everything. "Yeah I want his numbers look he did half the matches as me and almost all in his favorite things with pre made group he selected with spreadsheet! I want that but when I am solo, in things I don't play well!"
Like only time I had a crazy high win ratio and its 100% possible I played with a super autistic dude who broke down each and every single persons stats, and use to make dream teams out of the 300+ guild members we had active and refuse to play unless grouped with them. Like he had actually dream teams for groups. Its why we had to kick him yes it was cool I got invited all the time for my ground kills and support stats, but once started refusing to play with certain people because they wouldn't work well in his current group he started super toxic. He got like 90% win ratio for 2 months, and refused to go out unless he had people on his cheat sheet grouped up we got so sick of him we had to ban him from voice, and the clan.
But its 100% doable you guys just want the worlds best money ball system but you half ass it. Look at some stats ignore most the data you actually got to break down, to do that good. Then go "how come my half ass math didn't work out?" Because you still factor in you suck, and your not a good team player into all this?
I'm no fan of gaijin but the idea that they rig things like penetration stats based on performance is just farsicle.
Its like watching my aunt who has a "system" for the casino come back after she lost instead of won that weekend ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ how its all rigged. "Its like well one it was never in your favor and your system is mathematically flawed its more of routine and superstition then anything concrete lol.
People are describing deliberate and malicious action to this stuff.
You see it in every game. Look at all the memes about Xcom and 95% hit chance (=95% miss chance).
It isn't, but people are taking 20 95% chances a game and can't believe it when one of them misses.
It's understandable, humans are terrible at intuiting chance and patterns (or lack thereof). But you'd expect people could at least consciously recognise the facts.
In my experience angling your tank does not do anything. Either you are being shot by a superior round and it goes through you like butter or you don't and it bounces off.
