Why is the Chat Disabled again?

punishing the wole playerbase for the act of what I am sure is a tiny minority.

it's not like people were going to blame Gaijin for the toxicity of some players, so I don't know why they even took measures.

but hey, we know the drill now :) I hope at least squad chat is functional.

Considering I have zero say in, nor voice in them disabling chat, I can't. I have been told it is disabled until further notice. When you know of its return, so will I.

As far as protecting the game or whether it was a good idea? I've already mentioned the first time it happened a while back that I don't agree with it, but it isn't my call to make.

Easy let me explain. Gaijin can be liable for Inchat Discussions and the moderation of this is on a level you cant afford by any team. People write UK Related things other people beeing rude and calling them off. So its easier to just shut down chat aslong its heated. First its a feature rarely used ingame for any good. And second it comes back again so no worries.

Its the way it works in germany, a company is liable for its plattforms it offers. So if someone lets say post something "not OK" and you dont delete it you are liable for it like you wrote it...and iam sure many more countrys have the same laws.

And UK was just a guess..i have no clue like you why they deactivated ingame chat. But UK is right now and i saw plenty of UK Related postings in Chat ingame.

So let me ask this - why can I chat about UK in other games? Escape from Tarkov, LoL, Dota, Rainbow Six, Breakpoint, Lost Ark, The Isle, V Rising, Ark, WoW, Battlefield, CoD etc.
I can go on but all of those games are also playable in Germany, yet only WT seems to suffer from those things and needs to lock the chat.

You can't tell me the whole gaming industry needs to remove player chats because they talk about events that happen in the world.

If they insult - flag them, report them and hand out a chat ban.

If you wanna talk about Germany you would also know that "collective punishment" is also not allowed and you can easily get busted for it. Which is what you could describe as global chat lock.
Some say crap and everyone gets punished.

Edit: Also Freedom of Speech is allowed in Germany and would again make no sense to ban any one for talking about the events.
