How do I release flares?

I keep getting shot down because I dont know the command for flares and I cant find it in controls so does anyone whats the button for it?

Think it's called something like "deploy counter-measures". And you also need modification to equip them.

Controls -> Aircraft -> Weaponry -> Fire countermeasures

You may have to bind something to it.
