Instant repair of main gun?
Is there some way to instantly repair your main gun + dead gunner in about 15 seconds?

I just had a match where I popped the gun of a Tiger 2 with my PT-76, shot his turret killing his gunner, working to take out his crew 1 by 1 I shoot the MG port and kill maybe the radio operator and BOOM his gun is back up + gunner (somehow) and he kills me.

The PT-76 has a pretty fast fire rate and can fire 3 rounds in 12-13 seconds (I just tested this), maybe you figure my real world situation took a span of 15 seconds.

What I'm asking is, is there any legit way to repair your gun + dead crew in just 15 seconds?

Being on a friendly capture point reduces the time even further, if he happened to be on one. Although off-hand I'm not sure how much of a bonus it provides. But it is fairly substantial

With fully levelled up and aced crew, you can certainly replace a dead gunner in less than 15 seconds.

You ask about "repairing your gun" in that time, but you don't say what you damaged - barrel, breech, or both? Or did you just kill the gunner?

The barrel was destroyed. Crew I could understand (It does go much faster than repairs) but I've never seen anyone repair their gun(barrel) so quickly before.

PS: And there was absolutely no enemy nearby who could've helped with repair.

If it was already damaged it doesn't matter if you shoot it again, otherwise it's probably like 18 seconds aced.

No I shot his gun once destroying it. follow up shots were hits on his crew, thinking if I kill enough then he'll die by default.

He was on a friendly base so maybe that combined with completely maxed out crew did the trick. Pretty crazy because if I used a T-54 I wouldn't even be able to reload by the time he could fix his barrel and return fire. Luckily almost no one has maxed out or even expert crew in this BR so at least it's rare.

Even without Aced crew I've had sub 20 second repairs on capture points. So if he was indeed on a point then that's likely what you came across

At the very least now you know that if you're near a friendly capture point with decent cover you can try to use it yourself. (It also let's you repair at "normal" speed even if you don't have parts)

Well thanks for the info, I didn't know the boost could be that significant and I'll be sure to use it to my advantage from here on out.
