Remove US vehicles from Other techtrees
Otherwise known as Remove the "Chinese" M48, M60, and M113 TOW. Remove the Italian M60, M47 and M26's, and the German M48s. Or Fix the MM so that US vehicles dont face themselves in combat. If we're going to have NATO vs NATO in every post WWII match atleast make it logical.

the reason why other nations have american vehicles is because they are captured or leased. same reason why every nation has a vehicle from another nation
Every nation has a sherman, and some (like Japan) would lose a decent chunk of their vehicles at certain BR ranges if so, so probably will not happen.

Not the point
the Germans never operated P47Ds, Nor did they Operate M47s, or M48s against the US, they were a US Satilite state at the time they recieved them
The Chinese never captured, Bought, Or Leased, Or Operated M48s, CM-11s, M60s, or M113A1's.
the Italians didnt buy M26s under after the war or M60s (which would be late 60s/70s or thereabout), and at the point in game where they would be using them the M26 would not belong.
etc
RB is legitimately just Mixed battles. and its disgusting.

Their loss, Everyone should not have to play a garbage match because of it. the German Sherman is rare as hell (and also a nice showcase of gaijin pandering to german players by making it the only correctly modeled M4 in game, with its smoke mortar). the Japanese should not have one period as they never captured one working, let alone of the model they have in game. the Chinese got them as lend lease, and they plus the Soviets should be locked to the Allied side until post WWII.

The entire Matchmaker is garbage. needs to be completely reworked to take into account different eras of combat and allies/enemy ties over the different time periods.

this game would not be fun at all if it was set up to be as realistic as your wanting it to be. the german 8.8cm has a historically accurate flak round, but its super un-fun to use because they were never meant to be used as a single cannon. they were used in groups of cannons
gaijin puts all these extra vehicles in so that BR progression is steady. i wouldnt wanna have to jump from 3.0 straight into 6.0 just to cater towards keeping the game 100% realistic. if you really want something realistic, then head on over to some other ww2 game

Odd, Simulator is perfectly fun with NATO vs Warsaw Pact Matchmaking. There are no "other ww2" games with the same level of detail as war thunder. and thats what sucks, Gaijin holds this entire cornerstone and there is no other competitor to go to.

Its completely unbalanced as it is right now and makes playing US vehicles impossible, M60s and M48s cant Fight Leopards, and nobody wants to fight their own vehicles
China Didn't operate any US vehicles post WWII and should have any.
etc.
Its garbage. nobody likes it this way. all the matches i've had since the chinese tree was added affirm it.

"Lt. Roach had mistakenly landed at the Luftwaffe base at Caen France presenting the Germans with its first intact and flyable Thunderbolt, P-47D-2-RA (42-22490). They quickly repainted the stars with Balkenkruze and moved it to Rechlin test center and was assigned code 7+9. It was subjected to extensive testing which provided the Germans with important information on the fighter. In 1944 “BEETLE” was repainted in American markings and stared in a propaganda film. After “BEETLE” was thoroughly tested it was released to the “Beute-Zirkus Rosarius. the Rosarius Traveling Circus was a special Luftwaffe unit that visited front line fighter units, instructing the pilots on the characteristics of Allied fighters."

Can you imagine Gaijin actually modeling a 47 that isn't in game, similar situation to
Italian/Hungarions 109 G-2, just a copy and paste with a diffrent skin, and didn't it strike you that the German 47 in game doesn't have specifics, on what model it is, they just used the D-25 model.

Japanese M4A3E8, 1954[i.pinimg.com]
Japanese M4A3E8, unknown date (post-war)[i.pinimg.com]
"After the Second World War, the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers dismantled all military manufacturing and development facilities in Japan, causing Japan to lose the technology base required to manufacture tanks and armored vehicles. However, due to the outbreak of the Korean War, SCAP ordered Japan to re-militarize, forming the Japanese Ground-Self Defense Force and providing M4A3E8 Sherman and M24 Chaffee tanks (an initial plan to provide M26 Pershings was abandoned in the face of State Department opposition)." - Tanks in the Japanese Army, Wikipedia[en.wikipedia.org]

Technically speaking, the P47D-2/RA ISNT in game. only the D-25 and forward is. Good eye either way, i was under the memory that all D models used a full glass canopy.

Very specifically stated they never captured any and should not operate them as they are in game, unless a provision is made for preventing the usage of Post war vehicles with WWII Vehicles and the matchmaker altered to accomodate. i never said they didnt operate any period

The only vehicle that would qualify for that is the M24 as its mixed in with the WW2 tanks. The M4A3 is the separation between post-war and war-time vehicles, if you bar the premium Heavy Tank No. 6 and later Ho-Ri's of which the latter are oddities. I will also argue the camouflage is distinct enough that it should be easy to tell them apart, they have a very noticeably blue-ish green to them compared to American Shermans, their bicolour camouflage is equally as distinct, though their winter camouflages are less so. Getting rid of them would also result in a gap between 5.0 (Chi-Ri II) to 6.3 (ST-A1), ignoring the premiums, force them to use the So-Ki up to 8.0 as there would be a massive gap between 3.3 (So-Ki) to 8.0 (Type 87), and would reduce their 3.3 line-up from an LT, an MT, a TD, and a SPAAG to simply an MT, a TD, and a SPAAG. The loss isn't worth it for the amount of historical accuracy you would get in a simulator battle and as I said only the M24 really qualifies.

At range, in Shadows, Or in any situation thats not 12:01PM on a clear summer day with no trees around camo coloration (and for the less nerdy among us - camo patterns) isnt going to help you ID something much if at all. its really not an excuse. On top of that

Simulator battles have their own roster of vehicles you can and cant use, its very simple - dont allow vehicles that would not be operated together to be in the same lineup for sim.
Cheddar Biscuits (Zabanován) 17. lis. 2019 v 2.40
how about we just remove every american vehicle. Since it would drive out 80% of the toxic players. I'd sure as hell have a LOT more fun
