Crew Qualification
Should I upgrade crew skills to maximum before upgrading them to Expert Qualification? What effect does this have?

As you're likely aware, crew skills carry over to any other line-up in that nation whereas qualifications are vehicle dependent.

This being the case, if you switch line-ups frequently then skills are more important but if it's a crew in a "work horse" vehicle (i.e. one you use a lot for sl/rp grinding) then qualifications are equally as vital.

So it really depends on how much you intend to use a particular tank or plane and how quickly you accumulate sl.

If you're in no danger of going broke and intend to spade a vehicle (unlock all upgrades) then I'd highly recommend taking the qualification as high as your crew level will allow.

Expert and Ace will give you a boost to your crew skills regardless of whether or not you have the skills maxed.

If you have the SL / GE and its a vehicle you play regularly, it is definitely worth doing as soon as you're able.

I always expert my crews almost immediately if I can. I’ve got the SL sitting idle to afford it, so literally every vehicle I have is expert on at least one crew. My most commonly played lineups often have a few GE ace crews, though I don’t do that too often.

It’s fully worth it though. +3 to everything (pretty much) is very noticeable. It’s like giving yourself 30-50 crew levels instantly.

If you have the SL, do this for every vehicle you play.

IIRC they add +3 and +5 to all skills. Expert crews are only really good on certain tanks, but overall its a nice boost for just SL... GE expenditures well....i only have 2 tanks at Ace level in 6 years so(stat based break points)...your mileage may vary.

How long does it take you to add 3 crew points to nearly all skills?

By playing it'll take a LONG time.

With SL it's just two clicks.
That's if you are able to spend the SL, because expert crews are VERY costly on higher ranks.

I got lot's of SL, so I expert my crews on all vehicles as I begin to use them.

+3 to (nearly) all skills for expert.
Another +2 to (nearly) all skills for expert.
So +5 when you get both.

When you get expert, you can play to get ace cheaper or for free.
But it may take a long time again.
