best 9.0 premium tank ?

so what you guys prefer ?
the russian sturm, usa xm ,french amx, british wheel 105, swedish ufo, japan ?
or the merkava (israel) ?

my eyes currently looking at israel or sturms
any suggestion ?

You want one from a nation that wins the most around 9.0
Your best bet right now is Germany & Italy. They have the best win% between 8.0~10.0
They have about 60% wins in this bracket while Russia has 45% and Israel has 40%.
Russia and Israel are currently the worst nations in this bracket in terms of %wins.

To me It's about strong lines, not strong single vehicle. If you team can't compliment each other, you can have the strongest tank and it's just going to get 1 shot spawn camped.

Yep. Italy has an equally OP line with MTCA+Cent+Leo+VCC and for CAS G.91
On top it plays with Germany on 1 team more often than not.

Well out the ones you suggested I would go with the merkava as it has the best survivability and it gives you early access to the israeli tree. The Rooikat 105 is fun though something like the black prince will grind out your british tree faster, the XM1 is great though its 9.3 so it doesn't count, the swedish CV90 is strong and functions similar to the rooikat though slower on road, and finally the sturm... do you mean the Shturms ATGM launcher or the Turms-T MBT? both are great and the turms doesn't really need much more than a yak-2 Kabb and a BT-5 to have an effective lineup so if you are talking about the Turms and not the ATGM launcher then I would say its the best choice besides the Merkava.

the Leo is complete garbage when compared to the Tam 2IP, light tanks are meta for a good reason.

the best 9.0 currently is the Merkava cause it can do everything the other can do but is the only one with actual armor and good survivability, amx30 is a joke, leopard is a free 1 shot, XM1 has 0 armor, meanwhile the merkava is super hard to kill from the front even for veteran players.

sure armor is not meta in war thunder, but why take a tank that gets 1 shot all day when you can have a tank that is just as fast but doesn't die

the merkava isn't hard to kill from the front, it's standard stuff and i've explained it in an other thread, the best prenium currently OP would be the Leopard or T55AM1, the Tam 2IP is also pretty good but don't expect to take hits with it

Merkava`s armor doesn`t mean squat if you run into someone who actually knows what they are doing. Probably lots of noobs who dont know how to handle it yet because few of them in US tree were fairly rare encounters until Israeli tree got introduced.

Honestly, at like. 8.3+ the merkavas armor means nothing against APFSDS. From my understanding yeah it'll help against HEATFS, it'll help against HESH, it'll help against conventional rounds. But the armor doesn't add anything when APFSDS goes brr

just shoot the hull's right side, you'll kill the driver and most likely hit the ammo behind it
