That 1.0 APDS shell is FR FR crazy.
They also get a TD at 3.3 with 250mm HEAT pen.
And dont even get me started on their planes.
B18B with 700mm anti armor rockets
I BEG YOUR PARDON.
It's a howitzer, not a cannon, and you definitely notice the difference. The shell velocity is a leisurely 510 m/s, nearly half that of it's contemporaries. Long range sniping and hitting moving targets is very difficult, which is very unfortunate, since it isn't good at close range combat either.
The armor is beyond paper thin, there's a giant hole in the armor that allows anyone with an MG to shoot the gunner and commander right in the face. The gun handling is very slow, making snap shots even more difficult. The reload is longer than just about every other gun at the tier, so you can't trade shots.
And to top it off, HEAT really isn't that good against WW2 vehicles. Especially the heavily armored German tanks that everyone always points to. The crews are so spread out that a oneshot is very difficult to guarantee with the narrow cone of damage from a HEAT shell. This is made worse since landing the round accurately on a tank is difficult to guarantee at range, let alone hitting a specific spot or ammo rack. And if you miss your spot by half a meter in any direction, it's possible to do no serious damage to them at all.
The only thing this tank is good at is using it's absurd 16 degrees of gun depression on a ridgeline where it can lob shots at tanks at relatively close range, before using it's responsive reverse gear to back out before it's spotted. Not many of these spots exist. Outside these positions, and especially on the ever present city maps, this thing is borderline useless.
