way to go straight into modern era? (ground warfare)

Hey, I played War Thunder a bit in the past but WW2 isn't my thing. I got to level 2 tanks and it was cool to play and all but I really don't like WW2.

Anyway is there a way to go straight into the 1980s 1990s 2000s? I really don't want to continue playing with WW2 tanks.

because it means you would be able to get loads of SL and RP, meaning you could research a single low tier vehicle in a single game.
the whole point of low tiers would become obsolote as there is little reward and you are not forced to play it, its always been a build up, as you get into the higher tiers you earn more SL

Well yeah it would require some changes here and there sure.

But uhm... its kinda idiotic to spend time and research and premium and stuff into a tank from the 30s then 40s then 50s just to finally get to the 80s and so on.

Was one of the main reasons why I stopped playing. The progression is awful. I prefer Mechwarrior Online way of doing things far more.

I remember that there are tanks that you can buy with premium currency and that they ignored research and most requirements. I'd be willing to pay lets say 20$ for some premium version of a T-64 like I dunno T-64BM. Maybe another 20$ for a helicopter then for a Tunguska and BMP3 if it exists perhaps... but playing with WW2 tanks for hundreds of hours? Hell no.

This is why modern tanks should have been their own thing in this game as a new seperate series of progression tree's, I too am one of those who's only seriously into modern tanks, forcing the two together era's into same tree's was a really bad decision and missed opportunity as this engine is more beautiful for modern tanks than any other I've seen!

others do that to grind they way to the modern tanks, now guess what happens in community when gaijin gives everybody access to modern tanks. like there man who played alot to get modern tank and some pesky noob who got in his hands a modernt tankf just for nothing. guess consequense of this from the community. YET they make 5 rank "elite"(premium or what ever) tanks, wich is realy breaks the game i guess, cuz i still stuck to mid ww2 era so idunno for sure

You sound like a stupid noob tbh.

If I go and buy a pretty modern tank straight away my crew will be trash and I still need to get all the upgrades. Also as always no matter which tank you buy there's always a stronger one out there. Oh and I'd have 1 tank but to properly play I'd need 3.

Most people wouldn't bother. They're engulfed with the grinding frenzy. It all being about the "ride" through the tiers. Enjoying to earn the money to get the next version of their T-34 and see how it goes.

You argue that a bad implementation would be bad. Nowhere do I ask for badly implemented shortcuts, I'd like well implemented shortcuts.
