Russia Top Tier Ground RB (9.0-11.0) is unplayable

I am a big fan of russian tanks and planes and love their design, but they are unplayable in this game.
The technological difference between Russia and the NATO forces makes the game just hell. You could compare that to a WW1 Mark IV forced to fight a WW2 Panther.
Russias ground forces have mediocre armor, no speed, no gun depression, average penetration. There is a reason Ground RB is dominated by USA and Germany.
The Leopard 2s and Abrams combine everything that russia does not have. They are quick in foreward and reverse speed making modern battle tactics a viable options. Combined with their good gun depression and turret speed they can quickly peek out of cover, kill and get behind cover in less than 3 seconds.
Russias internal tank design is attrocious. 2 crew men in the turret means that if a shot penetrates all the crew is dead, while a shot in the hull detonates the huge ammo loading rack.
Russia cant defend itself from CAS up until 11.7 when they get the tunguska. Unlike USA, China or Sweden who all get proximity fuzes from 8.3 and upward, the Shilka cant keep up.
Not only do they lack self defense weapons, they also lack CAS themself. all the way from 6.0 to 11.0 (!) there is not a single aircraft that can fullfill its role as a CAS. The US gets the A4E at 8.7 and Germany gets the G91 both equiped with great CAS weapons. Russia gets the Su7. A massive plane, with no speed and weak ordnance a whole BR above the NATO equivalent.

On a last note, yes I play russia and yes I do win the occassional 1 in 20 games, but its not fun having to struggle and tryhard the whole match while NATO vehicles can just press one button and instantly win the match.

well I am saying what I learned when playing russia for longer periods of time and from an objective point of view. Most people on reddit lose one match and instantly cry in the forums how broken this and that is just like all the "muh tiger bad" threads

And yet people are still complaining that "the game is made for russian fanboies". In the meantime that tech tree peaks at around 4.7 and it's all downhill from there.

Soviet / Russian vehicles clearly weren't made for winning tactical-level battles against an foe of equal number, so they struggle quite a bit in WT. I think it's still manageable, but you have to know what you're signing up for. Besides, there are worse choices here (or at least more painful ones).

it's prolly just that your playstyle is more suited to nato tanks russian tanks in no way are bad they are more than capable of dealing with anything. Yes i agree leo 2's are greatly capable tanks and they might exceed the russians however america in no way compares to russia. It is about 80 percent the case that if you have american teamates you will need to carry meanwhile. if i get tiered with russia i know it's an easy win. About cas top tier (11.0 - 10.0) yes i guess you are right that russia doesn't have cas but it isn't often the case that cas is a dominant factor and if you see a couple of planes than hop into the tunguska and quickly deal with em. you have to note here that russia is often tiered with other nations so it isn't really reliant on it's own cas

I switched to Russia from U.S., and I'm loving it. I think the play style Russian vehicles are designed for suit me better. I'm not saying you're wrong about anything (except for the Su7 being slow of course), I just think you're looking at a spreadsheet and making conclusions based on paper fighting.

A hull down T-64, T-80, etc, is a worthy enemy. Though, yes, if you try to play it like an XM-1 you're going to have poor results. If this game ever tried to balance nations on a 1:1 capability that allowed for all similar vehicles to be played the exact same way, it would be too dull to play.

I would like to see or play a option, where you can have the maximum player amount of only early T-34's against 1 tiger. Russia had a logistic resource problem. They won cause of 2 things, Quantity and a set of the size of Jupiter.

i have russian tanks up to 11.0 maxedout, still i feel more confortable playing abrams or leopard.
The Tseries mbts are subpar compared to western MBTS, but good players always find a way to do well with them.

What you are describing is your subjective point of view.

Russia is perfectly fine at top tier, it is just a very different playstyle, especially in the T-72 line, if you're used to western MBTs.

You're not going to win playing peek-a-boo against NATO tanks, instead you want to make use of your low profile.

Russia also has excellent CAS at top tier, they get three of the best attack helicopters with Ka-52 and the Mi-28 line, personally I'd say only Germany overall has a better one.
