whats better, the Tiger 1, or the panther
i say the tiger, but all of my friends say the panther, using arguments such as, the american 76 can pen the tigers hull and cant the panther.

Panther is significantly better as long as you make sure nobody goes round your side.
+Ridiculous frontal hull armour
+Turret stops most things
+Better gun
+Lighter
+No giant cupola
-Piss weak sides
-Slower turret if its a D

Panther is better in almost every way that matters. Better armor on hull and turret, higher velocity ammo (easier to aim), better penetration, more mobile. The only thing it doesn't do better is survive penetration. Technically 7.5cm explosive charge is also smaller, but it is still more than sufficient.

The Panther is better if you're sniping but if you get flanked then you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ considering your painful turret traverse. The Tiger has bigger weakspots but if you're caught with your guard down you have a bigger chance of being able to react. The American 76 can pen the Tiger hull sometimes, it's a bit unreliable and only really works at close range or if the Tiger is unangled. They're both very good tanks and it depends on your playstyle which one is the best, I personally prefer the Panther.

i like tiger 1 simply because when an enemy sees me rolling, i know he's goes oh ♥♥♥♥ TIGER!! but a panther is just meh same as panzer 4....

Panther, anyone telling you otherwise is inexperienced

That's not what happens, though. Not for people who have some experience. Tiger is just a big soft box (unless angled, more on that below) with a less practical gun compared to Panthers.

This isn't Normandy landing, more often than not it's Tigers that are crewed by people who don't know what they are doing. They are the ones scared of everything, not the other way around.

I'm going to say tiger because it had a bigger shell.

The panther will sometimes let you down due to the shell being 75 mm and sometimes not going through things.

(If a shell is bigger, the chwnce of it going through is higher. Correct me if I'm wrong).

The panther had let me down a lot of times even if I had perfect aim on weakspots and even not weaksposts, and my shell didn't even pen a m4a2 Sherman on a 90° angle once because only God knows why.

You're wrong, smaller shells are better, the panther has better velocity etc, the only advantage the bigger shell gives is more explosive

Panthers are fantastic at long range with high shell velocity and awesome trajectory for sniping and turret can be extra trolly when hull down hull down

Tigers are semi ok at sniping but are lot more fun to try and brawl with since they have some serious explosive filler in their shell that just shreds everyone that it hits

The sherman 76 has a lot easier time going trough the tigers blocky square hull unless it's angled while panthers the 76 usually has to aim for the turrets cheeks but it can just pen trough the front of the turret randomly at times so... it's all very situational lmao

Only against extremely thin and extremely angled armor.

Panther is easier to jump into and do well in. Point front at enemy, stay at mid range where they can't get to your squishy sides and have trouble penning the mantlet, and you will do great.

Tiger requires a higher attention to what you're doing and when. Angling is super important with it, as is knowing your BR bracket in a game. If I'm in a 6.3 game I won't take the Tiger first normally, if I'm in a 5.7 or if I am top tier I will usually take the Tiger first in those cases.

They're both good, though. They just need to be used different ways.

Grab your Sherman M4A3 (105)
Shoot HE into the turret face.
Watch every panther cry as they get one shotted every single time.

16mm roof armors a ♥♥♥♥♥ aint it >.o

I find the Tiger better since an angled Tiger is nigh invincible to most tanks at it's BR while the Panther has the constant weakspot of it's turret mantlet which anything short of a 76mm gun for long range can easily penetrate.
