How does one use heatfs effectively in leopard 1 ?

People say "go for heatfs, heatfs good" yet i have higher chance of killing an enemy with stock apds than heatfs itself with an average of 1(ammo rack) to 2 shot while heatfs takes 2 or more shot to kill an enemy. Any tips how to use heatfs or should i stick with stock apds ?

Also not to forget that heatfs are very sensitive to bushes, making it less useful in certain area.

Same I never use HEATFS, but I carry 5 of them with me if I encounter heavily armored enemies.

ignore those people if they say use cheat-fs you are way better off with apds since they gave it some spalling and the l7 isn't a howitzer anymore so
just load 20 apds 5 heat-fs and you are good to go

I don't recommend using the HEATFS, the sabot round has a higher velocity and is much more reliable at killing other tanks than the HEATFS.

Use apds mostly, take few heafts for those very hard targets only, you will be fine most time with apds, but heafts are needed aswell in certain stituations.

What about HE? HE can deal with a few vehicles slightly better then just reloading another normal round. (And does HEATFS still work on soft targets like it used to, or does it not overpressure anything?)

Leopards its all about solid shot and heafts, leopard player use 1st choice apds, and few heafts.
At leopard1 br, this mbt will face alot heavies, heafts are to use vs heavy stuff only.
Only when you have leopard1a1 and from there on to the end its apfsds nonstop as only ammo to carry and use.

At leopard1 br, this mbt will face alot heavies, heafts are to use vs heavy stuff only.
Only when you have leopard1a1 and from there on to the end its apfsds nonstop as only ammo to carry and use.

I always carry (assuming I don't have to carry ONLY 16 rounds or so with certain tanks) a couple to a few HE rounds, they make quick work of a disabled (or even still moving) light (or open top) vehicle.
