BMPT Terminator

The BMPT Terminator is a Russian AFV. It's designation means tank support fighting vehicle according to wikipedia. It's built on the T-72 Chassis with a 1000 horsepower diesel engine, which lets it reach a speed of 60 km/h. It weighs about 48 metric tonnes and has a power to weight ratio of 20.4 hp per tonne.

It's armed with 4 Ataka ATGM launchers with 1 missile per launcher (no spares, so when you've fired all 4, you're completely out of ATGM's), 2 2A42 30mm autocannons with 850 rounds total, so 425 per gun, 2 AG-17D or 2 AGS-30 grenade launchers with 600 rounds total, so 300 per gun, and 1 PKTM coaxial mg with 2000 rounds.

The Ataka is also mounted on the Mi-35. On the BMPT, it has a tandem warhead and a penetration of between 800mm (first version) and 950mm (later versions). The 2A42 is also mounted on the BMP-2 and BMP-2M, and has access to the same rounds as the BMP-2 and BMP-2M, so players will already have a chance to be familiar with it.

The AG-17D and AGS-30 are both 30mm grenade launchers, likely similar to the AG-30 already in game, which is on the BMP-2M. It will probably be useless. Same goes for the 7.62mm mg.

It has a 2 plane stabiliser, a laser rangefinder and a thermal sight for gunner and commander, as well as duplicate controls for the weaponry so the commander can take over when the gunner gets "knocked out". It also has smoke grenade launchers. The crew consists of 5 people: the driver, the commander, the gunner and 2 grenade launcher operators.

Should this AFV be added to war thunder?

Gaijin is a russian company, theres a higher chance they will add this in future update

What I meant with my question was wether Russia needs it at whichever br it might be, since it's essentially like a BMP-2M with the armour of T-72, it would probably end up at around 9.3-9.7, where Russia doesn't really have IFV's

It prob (and hopefully) won't come for some time.
Russia currently has the most tanks in the game. Not to mention how OP the Terminator would be due it's crewless turret.
IMO it should be better if Russia got the BTR series.

It wouldn't be the only vehicle with a crewless turret (M901, M1128, I'm looking at you 2) but I get your point. The BTR's though, aren't they just 6/8 wheeled APC's with 7.62mm and 12.7mm mg's? Seems kinda useless in a game without infantry

Ok, so the BTR-40 has 7.62's, the BTR-50 can have 7.62's or 14.5's, the BTR-60 and BTR-70 have a 14.5 and a 7.62, the BTR-80 has a 30mm and a 7.62. I can only really see the BTR-80 being somewhat useful here
