With the is6, you have to know where to shoot to get a kill.
You also do better against those that don't know how to kill you, then you stand a chance.
again, I had it from the start, every one and their dog knew how to kill it back then,
I stopped using it.
It just didn't suit my play style.
Other than that is a great russian tank, straight forward gameplay like t34 all the way to t80 they all play the exact same.
W
Btw it seems you say the round aint good enough... Back to first gid gud, that involves everything from shell type and its characteristics to knowing every tank you face. In a downtier I have gotten 10 kills without dying, a mate with 12 kills wich dropped the nuke and the other two around 10 kills combined to we killed around 30 tanks without losing more than 2 is6 (the other two where pretty noob).
Pro tip: Youre not invincible.
The Lineup: BT-5, PT-76B, CAS (I randomly chose planes), Object 120 or IS-6, T44 or object 268 (IS-3 can also work)
This style of lineup means you can play 7.7-8.0 games with your light tanks and CAS while your 7.0-6.0 games can be played with your IS-6 plus everything else in the lineup with the main idea being to avoid using it in up tiers and using lighter vehicles which have a chance of skill matters and god mode awards instead. For the 120 I just use it no matter what BR I am in but only bring out the T44/268 when I am in a down tier. Also try to stay near as many allies as possible, in a down tier you should be nearly as fast as them which means you will be able to keep up and they can support you while you reload, if your allies constantly leave you then try to make a squad and play with some friends and if those friends also have IS-6's then in a down tier you can drive together at the same speed and support each other. The biggest thing is to set up the lineup in a way that you can preform okay in an uptier and then crush everything in a down tier, after that you just need to learn how to work around the reload with it being the second fastest 122mm cannon in the game it will be easier to work with than the IS-3 or IS-2 but its something that requires practice.
Pretty much. I don't have the vehicle personally, but at around it's BR (to my memory) yeah, you need to play tanks that would normally rely on their armor careful. There will be a lot of rounds dedicated to melting you like butter: ATGM's, HEATFS, APDS/APFSDS, and CAS of course
