M4A2 (76) vs Tiger II?
Been facing some big cats very commonly with the M4A2 (76) more commonly than usual lately, with my highest tier vehicle being 6.3 (M56).
My question is, where do I aim in order to destroy, or at least disable the Tiger II for long enough to run from the front? Is it even possible, or should I just aim for the barrel and run?

It depends which Tiger II, if it's the P model you can penetrate its turret frontally as it's only 100mm thick, but the area where you can penetrate is small. As for the H you can't penetrate it frontally, so shoot its barrel and try to flank.

P version go for the turret cheeks.

But best thing to do is or not engage him frontally or go for disable the gun

uhhhhhh, with a 76, from the front.... not really anywhere, i can't recall if it can pen the turret face from the front but i don't think it can unless you used APCR, i usually either fight king tigers by either not, or tracking it and flanking it while its tracked.

its also worth noting its hard to barrel tings now for some reason so while if you can do its thats the best thing to do, the likelyhood of doing it is low.

Nice, alright, thanks.

You can shoot through the MG port on either Tiger II model, but I would only do this at relatively close ranges and after you've disabled the gun.
When facing the big cats, either of them. If you're not confident that you can hit a cheek weak shot, aim for the barrel, then track, and close the gap for a side shot. If are in a spot where their turret is turned away or sideways to you, always aim for the back, it's where the ammo is stored. Aim for the lower back as there is no way they will have so little ammo it won't rack them or at least kill their crew.

But yeah, disable the tank, at least the gun and track. Then close the distance even a bit, and aim for the cheek. Keep in mind that if they angle it'll be harder, so keep em down. There's also a chance on the P that your shot can bounce down and instantly kill their crew. For the H, their cheeks are a pretty reliable spot to pen

Tiger II P:
-Shoot the turret cheeks (mainly your to your right, it'll knock out the gunner and commander)
-Disable the gun (goes for both if not all tough tanks)
-NEVER shoot the machine gunner port! (the round will explode early only killing the radio operator. Goes for both variants however it does work for the jagpanther.)

Tiger II H:
-I strongly recommend using the APCR if your sherman has it (This goes for any american tank if front on. Usually again aim for your right side of the turret cheek. If you're lucky enough the round will pen far enough to hit the ammunition at the back)
-Be cautious if you choose to flank (as the others are suggesting)
-TIP: If you shot the barrel by chance, Machine Gun its tracks with your 50 cal. 50 cals are super under-appreciated at taking down tank tracks.

KT(H)/SLA? You don't, it's immune to that anemic gun. Get side shots or don't bother at all.
KT(P) you can pen on the cheeks, but still, you shouldn't be frontally facing it.

Cupula. It seems like a weird weakspot but works for me a lot, especially if it is facing me directly

There is not much chance going through frontally with Tiger II P, it can go through if you are really lucky but most of the time you will be just dead.
Best to just go for gun barrel since KT barrels are pretty fragile (that`s from short range, do not engage them frontally from long range because you will be dead).

Hrmm. Alright. I think I'll just have to take out the gun and move in closer like you've all said.
I've noticed I do get a nice big fireball when I hit the rear bit of the turret on the Tiger II where the ammo is stored so I think I'll aim there.

Also yes I have APCR.

Another question is, should I even bother with the Sherman?
I have the bulldog, which I quite like and has a great gun (once I unlocked it's APDS).
I'm playing at a constant unfortunate uptier because of the scorpion I use, so the already poor armor of the Sherman means nothing at the BR can't pen the Sherman.
So here is two questions:
-Should I try leaving behind the Sherman's marginally better armor for the bulldogs superior mobility and firepower? (And yes, I enjoy the light tank playstyle)
-Should I send my scorp on holiday (does that ignore its BR?) so I'm only at 6.3 instead of 6.7 until I unlock my next vehicle (T25)?

If you play RB then Bulldog and Scorpion work much better then Shermans because of sneakiness and mobility. I would rather have M18 in the lineup then Sherman.
T92 will be pain at first because the stock APCR doesn`t really do anything at that BR.
Rank 4 is kinda screwed up for US because of some of the repair costs. T25 and M26 are pretty damn expensive to repair and Super Pershing is just insanely expensive to repair.
If your heavy tree is close enough unlocked the T26E5 is better choice because repair cost will not bankrupt you.

The 76 Sherman *can* perform well, if you play it right. But that goes for 90% of vehicles in the game. I would recommend going for the T92, M41 (not as good as the German one), M26, T34, and super pershing. You can pick whichever ones you want to use, but these tanks are pretty solid if you wanna go after the German heavy boys. T92 gets HEATFS, which while it won't melt them in one shot, will make most of their armor utterly useless

They really need to stop putting those crazy repair costs on most nations rank 4 and 5 tanks.
How can new player even progress when repair costs will just cripple them.
I`m long past those ranks but even I don`t play tier 4 US much anymore because of repairs while it used to be one of my favorite ranks when they had not yet gone insane with punishing people for playing.
Can`t even imagine how crap this must be now for new players with limited lion reserves.
