Somua sm or amx-30 super

I'm personally waiting for the Somau to go on sale. Everyone recommends it due to how memey it is, short reload, etc.

Depends:
AMX-30 is more of a scout tank, You play it like a light tank... without scoutting.
Souma: Huge heavy tank with good armor but bad side armor.

Having own both of them I can say both are good choices. Somua SM is a really good tank and has a good lineup that you can use. As for the AMX 30 Super while it is good and a fun tank to play as well you really do not have much options for a lineup. As some others has pointed out AMX 30 is very situational and you have no armor. This really depends what you want and do you see yourself grinding to French top tier. I personally enjoy playing top tier more so I played more games with the AMX 30 Super than my Somua SM.

Uhhh no the Super has a stabilizer, thermals and APFSDS. It's a very good tank. I think you're thinking of just the "AMX-30" which is identical to the TT one at 7.7 but has a 50cal instead of a 20mm.

If you see the AMX-30 Super he did something wrong ;) the Regular tech tree AMX 30 are very fun tanks for me personally not sure if the stabilizer is worth going to 9.0 compared to 8.3 on the B2 and Brenus - the Souma is definitively very strong but you probably spend more time in higher tiers.

The Souma is probably more worth it if you not yet very much progressed in the french tree (with backups and the AMX 13 DCA 40 you could grind out the whole french tree till Rank V - Rank V has only 4 vehicles and the AMX30 Super has max research efficiency till Rank VII.

If you're already close to BR 7.0 in the french tree I would rather go for the AMX30 - you´ll probably have more fun with the souma but get more out of the AMX30 overall

I picked the AMX 30 super and I kind of regret it. High br matches are not fun compared to what I see in BR 7ish or lower. Plus without a proper lineup we're not helping our team either.

AMX-30 Premium is excellent at 7.7, yes, it doesn't have the 20mm but the .50 is excellent as well. I have shot down aircraft with the AMX-30 (Premium) and AMX-30 (1972).

As for the AMX-30 Super, I don't have that but it is at 9.0. At that BR, the enemy tanks are way more powerful. I don't know if the APFSDS and stabiliser are good enough.

Both are decent tanks, but the Somua doesnt have to deal with very many missiles. 30 super will always have to deal with missiles.
