Report a translation problem
It's developement started in late WW2, and the prototypes arrived in 1946, the year after the war ended. That's a much smaller time/technology gap than between WW2 and the 1960's-1980's. So while you're not wrong, that doesn't mean it should fight 60's-80's tanks.
the guy seems more concerned about the technological gap than a cut on the timeline, which is a tad more subtle.
like: "maus vs gun tanks like M103 is fine."
but "T32 vs gen 1 MBTs is questionable."
better discuss from that point.
