I have long whondered why they havent done it yet.
To go in with one vehicle and stick to it thrue match sounds like an Air RB match so it wont be any different for all us RB air players..
I like that idea..
If Gajin implant this tomorrow i would stick around more often and maybe with even more fun than before..
As i have always said here...Its a great idea..
The issue is, the game came out in 2001. It is still active today and they are updating it, but kids do not like the graphics.
Now, that being typed, I would welcome a "total world war" persistent world in War Thunder.
There are a number of ways that you could implement them, but imo the best way would be to limit them to one or two per team and on a time limit.
This means that there won't just be mass shelling from ships all game and they will be used more tactically, as a means of weakening enemy positions before pushing - which is what they were used for when supporting ground invasions.
Additionally, they should have very specific spawns that are distant from the battlefield. This will reduce the accuracy of their main guns to have some balance, as they are insanely powerful guns.
With a simple few adjustments they could have a real gold mine, but their constant long term unexplained floundering has no doubt cost them a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money this past near decade.
Also, no developer is going to see this here. This is an unofficial forum for the game.
