T-34-100 or T-44-122? which one should I choose?

i want to buy one of these premiums and I all i keep hearing is get the T-34-100 as its a beast, but i liked some other people opinions and such.

I wouldnt say so, its all valid points. I own both tanks and now I see a huge influx of players playing the T-34-100 without realizing its still just a T-34 at 6.7.

For a time, the T-34-100 was definitely an option, especially when it used to be at 6.3 and overmatch needed to be twice the amount of amor, which means the T-34 effectively had 90mm along with 60 sloping so there was an air of invincibility about it.

Now with the recent changes, it WILL get oneshotted anywhere on the tank.

I've never made the T-34-100 work on my end but its still very possible to do good in it.

The T-54 and the T-44-100 are both great tanks, all more armored and have better reload along with APCR at least.

Compare that to the 6.3 T-44-122, it can't be shot at the hull because of its 75mm armor (so no overmatch) and 60degree sloping. The only weakness of its hull is the driver's viewport compared to the T-34 which is literally the entire tank.

But if the OP is having fun in the T-34-100, then its fine with me.

What you are saying, yes its true, t34-100 must be used as a sniper most of the times and flank when we have absolute certain that we will win the fire fight shooting first to kill, and finaly its a tank that we have to use avoiding being hitted, if the Rng isnt in our side yes the tank is weak.

that mentality is pretty much any tank in the game about not getting hit tbh. Its just that the T-34 presents itself too big of a target. I never made it work like I can with the T-44-122

The 122mm on uptiered matches is useless, unless its the one that t10m has.

not sure what matches your in, but theres nothing the t44 122 cant pen frontally except the jag.

OP you couldnt have gone wrong with either choice. personally i went with the 122, because in SB im usually first to fire. and with the 122 firing twice is rare, and if you do need to, chances are hes crippled so bad hes not returning fire.

the down side is if theres 2 enemy tanks....you either dont fire until theyve passed. or you get trigger happy and die.

eh no, penetration-wise, the T-34-100 beats the T-44-122. But the T-34-100 can't overmatch like the T-44-122 can nor can it be its equal when it comes to fragmentation after penetration ;)

Also, I wouldnt call 30+mm of more hull armor "slight" seeing as its impenetrable by anything less than 105mm. That armor can't be overmatched, not even the long-barrel 90mm on the M26E1 or the Super Pershing can do it. Only the 105mm on the Tiger 10.5, the T29 and the Jagdtiger can best that hull armor.

the 45mm hull armor on the T-34 on the otherhand... unless its sloped at 80+ degrees, it isn't going to bounce anything.

the 122 will out perform in the damage dept. all day every day, while working a second job.
saying the 122 will do less damage is factually incorrect.
