Wirbelwind vs Ostwind II

Hi, i was wondering if adquiring and training the crew of the ostwind II is worth it as an Anti air option or is best sticking to the wirbelwind

Technically Wirbelwind is just better in all respects against air targets. However, when it comes to practice its sustained fire is a lot worse. At the same time Ostwind 2 is surprisingly decent against airplanes. Not amazing and not the easiest one to use, but very much viable.

Depends on how good you and your crew skills are, if you are patient and can land shots, take the Ostwind, the crew is also a little more protected from air attack on it.

Wirbel can effectively make a lead wall between you and aircraft, good for low level crews and not as punishing for misses.

I'd say it comes down to preference. Ostwind 2 has lower damage dropoff at long range and will probably do better if you're good at aiming. I'd say though it isn't as good at punishing bad plays like flying straight at you.

I generally prefer the Ostwind 2.

I just use Wirbel right up to the Gepard. Cheaper to repair and it can really stop those kamikaze fighters that are after you.

ah yes the vehicle that replaced the flakpanzer even though it never existed hell the flakpanzer at-least had a hull and moch-up turret the ostwind 2 never even left the drawing-board.
