How the hell do i play with my friends?!

I spend 3 hour trying to figure out how to play with friends and it keep saying join squad not available for this event blah blah blah. Someone tell me how

Contacts ---> Find/Type your Friend/s's name/s ---> Right Click their names ---> Click Invite to Squad

What gamemodes do you have available?

I've just started with several friends, too, and we had the same problem.
Apparently the 3 generic gamemodes you have at the beginning are just bot matches that you can't quere in with friends. Those that are named just "Ground Battle", "Naval Battle", "Air Battle".

You have to do each of them several times solo before they get deleted from your list and replaced with arcade and realistic versions, those are PvP matches and can be quered in as a squad.
So for example the button for "Ground Battle" turns into 2 buttons for "Arcade Ground Battle" and "Realistic Ground Battle".
