Aside from that, the only other way to have "backup" vehicles is to have other vehicles unlocked and crewed near the same BR as your premium, whether those be other premiums, event vehicles, Squadron vehicles, or regular stuff from the tech tree.
FYI, this is pretty much exactly why many of us on the forums warn players against buying toptier premiums without anything else to use in the lineup. I only mention this in case anyone else who might read this is wondering "should I buy a toptier premium so I can have all of the modern fun that the trailers promised me?"
Oh, and refunds can be tricky; you can try contacting support, but depending on how you go about it I've heard of people getting their refund---with an account ban. But those cases sounded more like a credit card chargeback than working with customer support in good faith.
As for OP, like Shadain said, you'd need to use the loot box at the end of assault mode or buy them in the warbond shop Now it would be nice if they made a light recon or AA reserve for 9.0 which you unlock like the FCM.36, you can see and test drive it from the start but to fully unlock it you need at least 1 9.0 vehicle or maybe make it a system where you need 1 rank 7 vehicle, don't make the vehicle free to repair though, make it 1k SL, cheap but not free either (russian MBT's are only 2k and one was a little over 1500 so this wouldn't be to low of a repair cost). It would let you fight longer in your first few top tier battles and make premium players more helpful seeing as we are never getting rid of them. final note, give it 100% RP and SL so people don't try to main it due to the cheaper repairs but it can still pay for itself with one kill.
What do you think? would this kind of vehicle make the premiums better or should their be an infinite backup system added for purchase.
Jumping to 9.0 with limited to no experience is an absolutely terrible idea. Go back to Rank I and play to at-least Rank III to get to know the mechanics, maps and how the game works, then go back to your 9.0 if you so wish.
Nothing wrong with that. Do you know how many higher tier premiums I have just being Hangar/garage queens, simply because I can't justify taking them out due to the crew not having enough points for my liking?
Certain parts of the playerbase like to poo-poo on the WWII stuff as far as tanks go, but you can have some good fun with that stuff there. Even the interwar stuff can be a lot of trolly fun too.
I have had a pretty okay time with the WW2 stuff, so I'll just stick there and keep trying to get my friend his money back.
the game plays differently at different brs, I might have almost all vehicles but I personally hate top, always have.
as the game moves on so does top, when i first started kt2h and t10 were top tanks,
now no one gives them a second thought....and I stopped playing for 3 or 4 months when my kt2h was getting farmed by t10s.
Game moved on, they are no longer top.
I still hate top as it is mostly unbalanced due to so much being added, lower down things seem to settle or at least that is how I felt.
Your xm1 is a good vehicle and maybe one day you will enjoy it.........i know i didn't enjoy mine.
I should not drink and war thunder.
have fun.
