How good are the Swedish Tanks? (They are Awful)

So I got back in the game. And Ive been trying to get all of the tier 2 Swedish tanks, almost done with the STRV 42. But for me personally, it has been the most TORTUROUS grind as rank 1 Swedish tanks. For me it feels as if the Swedish tanks are glass, not glass cannons, just glass. I have never gotten so many "Critical Hits" in my life.

That being said it got me wondering, was I just unlucky or are the tanks bad?
I only play arcade since Realistic is not my bread and butter, but are the Swedish tanks actually good and im just unlucky (or just bad) or are they bad?

I haven't played that much with sweden, but from my experience as allie/enemy there are some very decent tanks found in the swedish tech tree combined with great cas. But i can only tell from realistic matches and not from the perspective of arcade, cause most of them are glass cannons.

I change my mind about the Swedish tanks, they are pretty ass. I just got all of the tier 2 tanks, and NONE of those tanks can Pen anything. Not only that as a 3.0 tank if you cant pen another 3.0 tank you are worthless. Not only that as a 3.0 I keep getting put up agains 3.7's like KV2s and ♥♥♥♥, and even in the areas WHERE I KNOW I CAN PEN, it just doesnt pen. The other rounds you get with upgrades are worse than the rounds you start with and are basically worthless. Screw the Swedish tanks, they need a buff

They're good for TD role and 2nd line support, even their medium tanks feels like a glorified Tank Destroyer

Swedish tanks generally get better the higher the br (400mm of pen on Ikv 90 heatfs with laser rangefinder at 6.7 for example). You just have to grind through it or if you want to spent a large amount of money buy your way past it. Swedish top tier is great (For ground forces anyways because I generally don't play planes so I can't say how good the their planes are) due to having 2 of the best MBTs ingame along with having powerful IFVs (One has a lolpen round, another has a special type of missile that airburst above a tank and even the pure auto-cannon IFVs can do a lot of damage if you flank). Just don't get the Strv 103A, 103-0, and 103C due to issues with the hull aiming system.

It gets better if you get into 4.0-5.0 with decent guns altough it`s still kinda pain to unlock proper ammo for them since it`s in the last row of modifications and default round is complete garbage.

The early Swedish vehicles are as bad as the French reserve. In my opinion, they don't start getting good til the Pvkv II at something like 4.0.

Its just so annoying since you cant do anything since you are paired with people you cant Pen!

Yeah I think im done with Swedish tanks. I cant suffer through trying to get over 200k xp just to get to the tier three ♥♥♥♥.

Im at br4 with swe and is making zero silver. Getting one shot killed all the time...

Also I did forget to mention but while the top tier tanks in Sweden are good make sure you don't die too often. Both Strv 122 MBTs (If you combine the repair costs of both tanks) cost more to repair than an entire lineup for some nations.

Pvkv is better than Delat Ton. DT has only auto load but worse shell with higher BR(Pvkv 4.0, DT 5.0).
Low tier is really meh. Lago start with shell that can't pen med-heavy in same class till unlock apds which other light tank in same tier has it.

Basically from what im reading, Sweden isnt even worth it in the long run, not only do the early tanks suck so much its torture playing, but once you even get to the high tier stuff, repair costs make you not want to play it.

Swedisch low-Tier sucks, mid- and hightier Tanks have good guns but no armour and their AA is the worst in the whole game.
