3.0-3.3 british tanks

so im trying to play 3.0 british tanks like the crusader and the cromwell V put their guns cant pen anything and if they do its minimal damage.

Got any tips?

flank is your optimal option, that till you research the sherman and achilles.

Also, research the Shot Mk.8 as quickly as you can. Best round for British tanks, generally.

Make sure you know where to aim, cheeks of Pz 3s and 4s, cheeks of Sherman turrets, crying when you see a T34, that sort of thing

You wont have problem penning but killing

Use churchy with 57 so you can figure out weakspots frontally, dont do head on or hill poking with the lighter ones till you get a sherman

Never attack anything frontally, not even panzers, you will find an angle and the shell will bounce. You need to flank and always go for the turret crew or engine first.

Most British tank ammo has no HE filler.

Penning ain't the problem, as pen is great.

But killing needs you to aim at stuff that goes boom.

Or disable something important and then kill the crew (one by one if needed).

Here's a thing if you want a nation to put a good amount of effort into and research down the tech tree leave British wile you still can unless you don't mind loosing a crap tone of silver when you get to RankIV the Tank's get very expensive in repair cost it's the worst nation in the game right now so if you are a F2P player and not very good at the game don't play British past RankIII
Im not saying there bad there pretty good but when the average cost of a tank is 10k to 15k all the way to 18k to 20k it's not worth it unless your a good player that can rack up those kills

The 75mm and the 6 pdr suffer slightly from poor effectiveness against angles but the rest are good.

that is why you shouldnt always use the 'best' round available, the shot mk8 are quite weak against slopes but the lower marks are capable against slope.

The mk8 is one of the best against angles because it is an apcbc round with a cap. The only other that may be better is the apc shell.
