Precisely how do you get Survivor?`

I know people will say "get the most kills without dying" but that doesn't always work. I'm trying to figure out why in one battle, I'll get 8 kills, no deaths, (which was the most without dying) and get survivor, and then with the EXACT SAME AIRPLANE, again get 8 kills, no deaths, again the most without dying, and NOT get Survivor. Does anyone know what I did right in the first mission that I didn't do in the 2nd mission? Normally I wouldn't care, but as we all know, that battlepass challenge is up there.

Most kills of all players in both teams.
At least five.
Not dying. Like. At all.

This. There can be only one "survivor" per match, not one for every team, and obviously the competition is currently bigger than ever because a lot of people are trying to complete the same battlepass task.

Remember this is one of the BP challenges that runs till the end of the BP season.
Not only 3 weeks.

Still will be very hard on a lot of players.

Yeah... nope... Did that, Didn't get Survivor, so that can't be it.

Right... but I had the most kills of anyone... not just MY TEAM! EVERYONE! No deaths... 8 kills... Even finished first with the highest score... did not get Survivor.

Yep... Player kills, no bots. I thought about this as well. I do believe there's a minimum # of kills, but I thought it was 8. I did GET Survivor with 8 kills once though, which is why I'm confused. And yes, rank III vehicle, though that only matters for crediting to the challenge. It doesn't matter to get Survivor. I've gotten Survivor with level 1 vehicles before.

Survivor needs 5 kills minimum.

And you finish the match in the vehicle you started.
Alive.
