HMS Belfast - Worth the GE?

I recently got the 90%off voucher for premium vehicles and i dont have but some hours to decide. Im stuck with the decision on Belfast, if i shoudl buy it. i often play Naval AB and i see it as a way to grind bluewater fleet and earn easy SL. Any experience on the ship? any good at the comparable BR?

I'm not an expert at naval, especially UK, but I have yet to hear a single good opinion of UK's ships. Also, a light cruiser at 5.3/5.7 sounds like you'd get wrecked by heavy cruisers and battleships in uptiers on a regular basis.

Its a good ship when facing other cruisers and destroyers etc. I see in the dev server that its going to 5.3 also. You can do nothing to battleships and they can easily kill you. It has good aa so planes flying near you will be easily killed. If you want to grind the british bluewater fleet then go with it as i did. But when you spawn in game try to go to cover to protect yourself from other ships especially battleships and shoot from behind the cover.

Arguably I would say anything at 90% off is a steal. The Belfast as I have used it in a few games is all right, though the Helena is probably a better choice given the ability to use a discount on either, unless you're dead set on UK bluewater. I have the Tiger along with my Belfast so I can't say how good it would just be with it and a backup in the lineup.

BBs will shrug off a lot of the 6-inch hits unless you're hitting the superstructure with HE, but with 12 guns you can keep up a decent fire rate.

Im really keen on brits so i might go for G lynx since Sea vixen wont make it in game before my 90% off goes dead so maybe ill put my money on it instead. Groundforces and airplanes dont have that much to offer in 5-6ranks that would be ideal to purchase. Heli is a multipurpose, it can earn SL and affect the match itself. Coastal fleet is rather dull too. So its either G Lynx or Belfats. GOTTA MAKE MY MIND

I would definitely be tempted to buy a premium helo at 90% off too; grinding the first few tech tree versions is hell, even with a premium account.

its a good ship but with BBs being 6.0 it kind of made all the premium Light cruisers Meh,
