What's the point of spitfire vc/trop and spitfire vc?
there are better alternatives than these, these don't even have awesome engines or something better than the usual 3rd era, only things going for them are manoeuvrability and 4 hispanos, what do you think?

Well, the Tropical variants are all worse than their standard counterparts, so I guess the point for them is to be tech tree filler, which is more important for Air AB than anything else. To be clear, the difference between Tropical and vanilla is usually just a few kph in top speed as well as being slightly more prone to overheating, so it's not really noticeable, even in RB.

Well, IRL, "tropical" really meant "desert" or "sandy places," so they had to install extra filters to keep sand/dust out of stuff, which resulted in worse airflow and therefore slightly worse performance. Aside from that, IDK a lot about UK planes.

To be honest I don't know why they added the non Trop versions.

The non Trops never used to be in the game but they added them to fill more BRs I guess. Add on the fact that the Trops don't seem to overheat any differently or have any other major differences.

The Vc I guess is so we have one with quad hispanos. Seeing that it is the only other spit with quad hispanos that I can remember that isn't the rare F mk IXc that was only added in 1.77 with the non-trop Vc and Vb.

I can't say for Spits, but IME testing 109s I felt the Tropical version did overheat significantly faster than the non-trop, (in RB) but I did not bother to quantify that, so it could have been perception bias.
