P51 dogfight will always put you into a disadvantage unless you force an overshoot (meaning there will be some form of risk into it).
If you are dogfighting in a P-51 you have made a major error unless its at extreme speeds where its laminar flow wing can do its job
if the only point was to demonstrate that it can dogfight successfully then yes also nice dual
I hate to say it, but i personally felt the D-5 is a very underperforming plane at its BR. The only thing it is good at is diving at high speed (which other p51s can do the same anyways).
Are you using MEC most U.S. aircraft are severely handicapped without it
AKA: A custom battle duel that puts p51 on same height as enemy undermines p51s abilities.
Not to mention, P51 preforms well when at high speeds and at sea level/really high alt (the latter being more preffered I find) but most custom battle duels start you really low down with little speed which also inherantly favors turn fighters as the p51 is slow and can't dive to gain speed.
