So I'm trying to turn, right? not going that fast, in fact I don't even know how fast you need to go in one of these things for the controls to lock up because my goal in a wildcat has never been and will never be to try and outrun another plane. But I'm trying to turn left and roll over but my wings just... stick? At this like, 50 degree angle? Like this plane wouldn't have rolled over if Jesus Christ walked across the sky to give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ push. You can't fool me, Gaijin: I outfly spitfires in this plane (and I know that's because spitfire pilots are just bad fliers don't @ me.) but WE BOTH KNOW THIS IS A MANEUVERABLE PLANE. What is this physics, besides illegal?

Raising or lowering? I always turn with flaps,at least in a duel. Honestly, could it have been that I was in the F4F-4 instead of the F4F-3? Even disregarding the fact that I've aced the F-3 and have nothing upgraded on the F-4, the F-4 seems like an inferior plane to me. Same powerplant, and do I really need the weight of two extra guns when they're included as an afterthought? No. No I don't.

Sure, stock syndrome can be an issue, even at lower tiers, but I don't think I've ever heard of it stopping a roll mid-way through. I might buy it for a jet approaching it's top speed but not a WW2 prop that isn't diving from space.

OP: were you entirely relying on the instructor and mouse aim, or did you use the keyboard/something else to try to force the roll? Was your plane in any way damaged?

I think I must have tried using manual ailerons once I realized I was stuck. I don't think I would have tried kicking the rudder at all. I only broke out of it once I literally abandoned the turn. Also no, I don't think I had taken any damage yet

Let us be reminded that the F4F-4 has somewhat worse characteristics over the F4F-3. Mainly in the prospect of top speed, climb rate, turn rate, additional weight, and gun ammo.

Yeah I know, it's a lateral move from the F4F-3 *at best.* What happened still feels insane though
