and yeah oddly enough "realistic" is less realistic than simulator..
no clue on dynamic campaign since never really played it
It's very usefull for setting up practice sorties against Bots and with todays update the mission editor is even better than before.
As already mentioned if you want to use a flightstick SB is the way to go but you definetly want to get a little bit of practice in testflights before jumping into a online match.
Almost everyone will crash a few times before being able to takeoff on SB settings.
The AB/RB Autopilot system is deactivated in SB, so you will have to counter effects like propeller slipstream, engine torque, gun recoil, stalls and spins, don't worry it's not as hard as it sounds.
If you think that SB is the right mode for you, you should also consider some sort of head tracking solution for camera control (or even better VR).
Nowadays Headtracking can be very inexpensive thanks to the free Opentrack Software and cheap DIY Tracking Clips.
