I gotta agree, though. It's not competitive at 9.0 with the current performance it has. Regaining energy in SMB2 is a nightmare once you lose it, and at high speed, it suffers from severe control stiffening. It still is fun to fly from time to time, but under the circumstance of heavily compressed BR(8.0~10.0), I wouldn't call it competitive by any means.
That being said, I'm not really fond of bringing its BR down. Moving MiG-15s and Sabres to 8.3 was already mind-boggling enough. Not to mention, giving an airspawn to strike fighters didn't help either.
If anything, the vehicles that have questionable performance for its BR should go up, not down. Revoking airspawn from strike fighters would also be an option, as it will prevent them from abusing initial energy advantage.
Might as well bring down all the planes that have legacy BR at that point, to be honest.
