Do something against campers.
Do something against campers.

I am fed up getting killed by some campers who sit on the edge of the map behind some bush & stones peaking with only a 1 mm of their tank and killing everything.

No point in even attacking an objective if this is how RB games run only.

I am fed up. Once more, build proper tank maps.

Wouldn't it be interesting to hear the viewpoint of said "campers"? ... or are you just worried about how the game has impacted you personally?

The view point of campers does not matter as they always think they do it right.

Fact is, it's quite ruining the fun for many players so adjusting the maps a little and not putting so much cover on the edges of maps would probably help.
And this is exactly why artillery and air support exist in ground battles, because, despite all the whining about them, camping would be far, far worse in a mode without those things.

This is a game that encourages such game play like camping and spawn camping and sniping for the whole game leaving after a single death and so on why risk your self trying to help ally's and doing the objective and risk dieing and loosing silver when you can sit back and snipe not die and make more silver and research.
A person gave a perfect name for warthunder it's more of a single player game than a multiplayer game.
The game is simply flawed by design it's made to look like a team play game but you will get punished for playing the objective and helping your team it encourages you to spawn camp snipe not to play the objective why risk playing the objective dieing over and over to win a game and still loose silver when I can sit back snipe camp spawn camp loose and make 2 times more progress and silver by simply sniping and camping that's a flaw in game design.

This game is imbalanced garbage, maps are thrash, br compensation is a joke, so what would you expect of players to be? IE, there should be no full 3rd person cam and no aircraft in realistic ground battles, but gayjin will be gayjin, they don't listen.

2- anticipate the future campers : move yourself to a position to intercept them.

3- Don't blame a guy who has the intelligence to position himself to kill you easily.

4- Instead, blame yourself and your teammate who have had the lack of strategic intelligence about the potential movements of ennemies.

I can understand what you really want : just a head to head fight in some flat 1*1 km terrain.
What an exciting proposition, but personnally I will decline it.

If someone has the intelligence to move & position himself for being able to impact positively his own team, congratz to that player.
Maybe he is not playing directly the objective to capture a point, but he helps a lot his teammates by disorganizing the ennemies, putting them under high pressure & cutting the help they could give to their main attack forces.

It's up to you to show yourself as intelligent & adaptative as they are.
If you don't want, you are just playing the wrong game.

I'm very upset about behaviour like yours : when I read people like you, we should always do a leveling down......

Admittedly, you have to get fairly close to a camping spot to drop arty on it, and taking them out with planes/helos might be hard for the losing team, but the big thing is that the planes you do get in the air need to actually target and successfully hit the campers---in other words, in order for planes to be a solution, you need some semi-competent players on the team, which is far from guaranteed.

Flank them then. Nothing wrong with getting an extremely good position and holding it down. The issue with it however is when someone flanks you. Be the flanker. Sometimes it's possible, sometimes it isn't. Rushing into the middle of a battle is a sure fire way to get disintegrated whether by "campers" or "regular" players.

I shear you can go around take several tanks out that all cost over 10k and still make profit somehow as a F2P player me I don't take out anything over over 6k but a very few tanks what Im pointing out is this game punishes you more than it rewards you why risk playing as a team when the game directly discourages it so much and encourages span camping sniping and getting kills over helping the team that's what I'm pointing out you might be fine playing cheap things or just be a good player but what about the average player what do they see.

I know air is a thing, although I supported it a lot myself to begin with, I now hate it and really dislike planes being part of tank matches (I never thought I'd say that).

Currently I always end up on some swedish city map and barely get the chance to play anything else..so campers aren't too much of a problem but everything else. lol x)

Flank them then. Nothing wrong with getting an extremely good position and holding it down. The issue with it however is when someone flanks you. Be the flanker. There is something wrong with an entire team camping on the edge of the map though... if you don't feeld this way you are either a camper yourself or never play tank matches for the actual objectives.

I will just be a good player and just easily go around somehow to the edge of the map to almost unreachable position to take out cold war tanks that have aimed at me since I left my own spawn from across the map.

No problem, I will manage.

You make your own choice, so why coming here to cry because apparently some other guy shot at you easily while camping?

It seems your way of playing is not better than his way of playing.

Well, the best thing you could do is playing "smart" ( = intelligent).
What it means?

--> Adapt yourself to a situation : there are times to rush & push, and times to stand & camp.
Acting like that is acting with intelligence.
And that will grant you lot of points because you will be able to spot ennemies, to hit ennemies, to move out, then moving in, camping & respot, reshot, etc etc.

And the "+" will add to themselves : +++++++++++++
More & more points.

But if you want to play that game like rushing in Counter Strike, you are wrong playing at War Thunder.

Even more :

Each period ingame will ask you to learn new tricks.
WW2 tanks & stuff will ask you to behave differently to the post WW2 tanks & stuff.
Because technically, Cold & Post Cold War stuff is more mortal at high distance than WW2 stuff.

And yet still the same word, the key word : ADAPT.

Campers exists in every online game, in real life wars too, how about to drive more km and take them out???
I play flanks 1st in every matches i get, after that i go cap and etc....
Good attacker always have patience, let the enemy think its in full control, mid late game tables turn.

Because the match is usually over once I reach the enemy when I really flank on the side of the map.
