Yea i meme with the wirbs 20mms penning sides breaking tracks etc but man hitting air at all does seem a little hard with cannon AA
I don't necessarily agree. While i don't really have experience using the ostwind 2, the amount of times i've been killed by those things is suggests that they're quite good in the right hands.
The "trick" i use for low-tier plane killing at long-distances is putting the plane on the crosshair and waiting 1-2 seconds so i know how much i should lead, and it works pretty well for most high-caliber.
This is the point.
Not necessarily.
The ostwind's 37mm does have more range and more umpf, so it's better for engaging targets flying higher, faster, or in general bigger targets.
While using the Tu-2's to bully bomb german teams i can usually survive a bunch of shots from a whirbly boy, however if ever get hit a single time from an ostwind, even if it was a bad hit, i just become a flaming mess and die.
37mm "oomph" means nothing when quadruple 20 already shreds targets into pieces in 0.5 sec.
AAs with disabilites who can't hit ♥♥♥♥ will do with ostwind even worse than they do with wirb.
to be fair ostwind 2 has 6 man when wirb has 5 1 guy dont seem like much but its saved me and the wirb does have more pen with its HV rounds
LORD no I suck at the flak bus I go flakpanzer 38t all da way
well i know this lol
who knows I guess ill just have to practice more
I'm going to have to disagree with you on this point.
Its higher fire also means that its trail of shells is easier to dodge at longer distances.
With both weapon systems, it's going to be hard to hit past 2 km, but if a whirble gets a hit off it's most likely not going to deal critical damage, especially to large dive bombers, an ostwind however guarantees a kill every time it hits.
I'm going to have to repeat myself here, but when using medium or even heavy bombers in ground RB if I fly evasively I can still manage 2 or 3 bombing runs and drop all of my payloads.
When I'm facing skilled ostwind 2 players I may be shot down before completing a single bombing run.
