F100 Sucks

After throwing away the trash Saber F2 away I find out the F100 is basically equally as garbage.

F100 Pros
- Turns good at 500-800 kmh

- nothing else

F100 Cons
- Haven't gotten a single downtier in 10 matches.

- Gets run down by anything with a more powerful engine (F104s & Mig 21s)

- Guns spark a lot.

- Big fat juicy target for J35, r60s, and SRAAMs

- Gets beaten by any Pay to play jet (looking at you J35A, Harrier Gr.1, and A-5C)

- 7k loss per match (stands no chance in a uptier anyways lol)

- Missiles are useless, by the time I get to launch one its either because the enemy team is 90% wiped by my team already or a teammate is kind enough to bait for me. (Shooting bots with the missiles because its absolutely useless on players)

- Gets out accelerated by a 1.0 reserve prop with full afterburner on.


How to make this plane less painful to use? If you know any tips and tricks to play it let me know. Using it to get the F4C only 20k rp away from unlocking it.

Maybe got more to do with the poor br spread for jets...i don't have this plane so idk but it's not the only jet that got problems cause of their br choices ....

Up max to 13.x already. Who cares if there only will be a few jets at some brs, balance is more important, they can fill in the gaps with time..

Historically, the F-100 was used by the USAF for bombing as it was superseded by other fighters. There were a few combat air patrols and the F-100 had one probable kill apparently. It was used for close air support (CAS) and bombing in the Vietnam War mostly.

Power creep is the biggest issue, when it first came to the game it could of been competitive, but so much better stuff has been released since then and all those jet BR's are squashed against each other. Which is sad because i was looking forward to getting it one day.

The F100D has been pretty heavily power creep'd. I still enjoy it from time to time, but you might as well fly the F3H Demon for the same BR. That plane can at least compete with more nimble opponents very reliably.

To be honest is was actually really ok until the new update brought the pay2win premiums at that br

The guns are actually really good once you get air targets so you can kill most things before you start losing energy, but the missiles are indeed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Use it as ground attacker as thats what IT was primarly designed for

you don't have to turn with the f100, is easily one of my favorites jets to play, one of the biggest qualities of american planes and jets is that they're faster in a straight line and the boom and zoom is one of the best techniques, don't try to dog fight others jets you're just gonna bleed all your speed and energy. If you wanna turn fight there are better options on the american three

This is terrible advice basically and solves no problems.

You get missiled before you can get anywhere near a ground target. And even then maybe you might get one or two if your team is doing good.

I usually would play it like that... if the f104s didnt exist on the enemy team. The f104s do what you just said but better than me so I have to turn in order to avoid a aim7 and aim9 deleting my wings. Well the good news is that I already unlocked the F4C so I wont have to use the F100 in the near future.

Im only up to the F4U-1D in the naval line lol I totally neglected it and went down pure USAAF & USAF fighters. But I will try to get the F3H now that Ive unlocked F4C.

witht his patch some f104s recivied a buff wich makes them a bit more dangerous but you can still play to the f100 advantage of a better maneuverability a luckily most of them only have aim9b wich are easy to dodge and i can only wich you good luck with the f4c i dont really haqve anyting to defend that plane

lol J35a ruins me every match. It has better everything, if I try to run it can out speed me and if I try to reverse it they will easily stick.
