Strongest Soviet Tank BR level?

Been playing Soviet since the start of my WT career, and honestly I'm not quite sure where I would say the outshine. Top Tier is about the only time they really start to come out of their shell. Perhaps this is because of Germany's tank line up getting objectively weaker in later tiers. Either way I'm not sure, but what do you think the strongest Soviet Tank BR is?

At 3.7 and it's all downhill from there. Even there they don't "outshine" a whole lot. They mostly fluctuate around "decent" throughout the tech tree. Never rivaling the strongest (probably not even the second strongest) and never getting even remotely close to the most painful.

This is what I prefer to play. I have T-V for 5,7 and T-44-122 for 6.3 though.
I have stuff up to 9.3 and researching 9.7 but higher then 8.3 is not exactly greatest so far compared to Germans and Americans.

I see top BR players complain the most about Russian Tanks, the KV series of Soviet tanks do really well in Realistic Battles as do the early T-34s.

Tank wise Russia is pretty strong throughout, they suffer like everyone else vs Panthers and Tigers but their good mobility lends themselves well to flanks where you can then defeat these adversaries.

IS-2 is really fun punishing Tigers.

It's Alot More fun to punish tigers with a gun that dosent take 2 decades to reload.

The average Tiger player isnt angling IT anyway so you can kill IT with pretty much anything

And is2-1944 isn't even remotely comparable with tiger2p.
I would say 3.7-4.3 is the strongest soviet BR range. Early KVs are great as well as t34 + pe8 + tis ma.
Overall great lineups apart from ♥♥♥♥♥♥ spaa. But soviet spaas suck up to zsu 23-4 anyway

Why the F would you shoot driver port on Tiger and Tiger II P the left /right side (if you are looking at it front on) of the turret is way softer with the IS-2 upgraded shell punches through turret front on Tier I Tiger II P and H and been honestly fun to pop out blap them in turret watch gunner loader commander just die and the post p[en damage usually set off ammo rack

2.7 T-50 & T-126 are beasts, only heavies have a chance but you also have APCR.
4.3 SPGs can kill anything unless you get full uptiered vs Jumbos, cos even the H1 can be killed with the ASU-57 from the front.
4.7 the long 57mm T-34 for surgical precision & KV-85
5.0 the lone wolf T-34-85 (D-5T cannons pack a trong punch)
5.3 IS-1 is trolly for enemy players, it bounces more than it should, PT-76 after unlocking HEATFS
5.7 T-34-85 & IS-2... bonus KV-220 if you got it
6.3 T-44 & IS-2 (1944) ASU-85 (the old 6.7 lineup)
6.7 if you got the premiuns / rares T-34-100 & Type-62

I like that range, KV-220 & T-34-85 were my 2 first aced vehicles.
Gotta learn your vehicles to make the most out of them.

U don't shoot it on purpose genius. But if happened so that he wobbled his hull right before your shot - you are done cuz of your sh!tty reload
And kt2p turret is not softer than is2 by any mean. It's about the same but with way better gun.

4.7 imo is where the nation peaks, with the T-34-57 - two 57s if you have the premium. Then you can complement your line up with the KV-85, KV-1 Zis, or some TD, then finally a Pe-8 or P-47 for aircraft.

Higher than that imo it's just suffering, you're basically outclassed at every single br out there. I started grinding Ger/US more seriously when I got to 11.0 Soviet/Rus, and so far I'm enjoying the 5.0+ on those nations WAY more than I did with Rus.

I'm of the opinion that people that start playing WT using Ger/US (and never try other nations) end up underestimating the value of gun depression, early stabs, early thermals, actual reverse, having full lineups, etc.
